Well, they said they wanted to re-create the sense of entering the stargate, and you seem to have proved that it worked. Damn, do I ever love this song to pieces.

I wish I could add a thumbs-up every time I revisit this video, which is frequent.

I was 16 weeks pregnant when I miscarried and lost my uterus to sepsis. This is the only song that expresses my pain. Thank you 🙏

I'm so sorry to hear that. :( Even though my pain is very different from yours, we share the catharsis provided by such a masterful song. It's my favourite of all time - I am so thankful it exists!

This song is definitely about leaving your ego behind during death. Sort of like jumping ship(ego) when you know its already too damaged(dying) to continue piloting but you are irrationally attached to it .

It's about Cygnus X-1, the first black hole ever discovered. The entire album is based on cosmic themes.

What a transformative song! You just want to close your eyes and let your soul lift from your body and into space.

I have been battling addiction for quite a while. I took a trip to a remote island in Alaska to detox myself in the wilderness... not something I recommend for everyone.. but this Album and particularly this song I listened to over and over

The vibe and visuals of this song reminds me of a Warhammer40k warp jump sequence. Especially with the fear of something watching you that the lyrics allude to.

The video starts above Venezuela, which is my home country. I listen to CoL since 2004 and this is one of the songs I replay the most.

@@somethingelsedoesmatter This song is very addictive, puts me in a strange mood. I love singing along to it, because the lyrics are awesome and Julie acting all the strange voices, so badass. Also the percussion here is top notch. Then the eerie atmosphere at the middle.... Oh man... I can write a very long essay about this song.

Where's the live version? For fuck's sake, I really want to watch them play this live on the stage. I want to see the crowd's reaction when the epic outro starts too. That's what I want to see. I want to see five minutes of hair that is nodding to the most epic, trance-inducing melding of stoner-rock and MDMA-loving ingrates who love both genres and everything inbetween. I feckin LOVE this elongated outro more than any outros that I've ever heard.
