The fact that ZSJ can create an entertaining match using purely submission holds speaks wonders for him. He's a beast.
@TrolledBy6 жыл бұрын
I think's that's because he is brutal and innovative. Traditional British catch wrestling can sometimes drag a bit too much and the Western "headlocks galore" is extremely boring to watch, but in Japan ZSJ has really proved that technical wrestling can be very captivating.

This year April Ryogoku show is for sure below fourth place in importance. New Beginning in Osaka was alredy bigger card. And i would say that G1 special (for sure), G1 two block finals (venue importance), KOPW (for sure) and Power Struggle (maybe, should be in Jo Hall damn it) will be too

I hate to take credit, but I'm going to. I was there live, and I was responsible for the "Ospreay WOOP WOOP!" chant. At first, the crowd was doing a light chant of "OS-PREAY. OS-PREAY.", but I starting wooping in the middle. You can hear the crowd laugh at first, and then SO many people joined in. From there, the constant cheer in the crowd was "OS-PREAY! WOOP WOOP! OS-PREAY! WOOP WOOP!" It was fantastic! The crowd lost their minds during that match, and I was so shocked by the amount of Ospreay and Scurll fans in the crowd, especially since there were not a lot of non-Japanese fans.

I thought the post match attack cody and page did on the golden lovers was pretty lame. Kenny just grabbed the chair and that was it. It wouldve added a lot of heat to the kenny cody match at SOH if they wouldve tied kenny up to the ropes or some shit and just beat the complete shit about of ibushi with that steal chair. Bashed him over the head, hit their finishers on him, bust him open, all that shit. Kennys so theatric that he couldve made it look amazing to. The only big missed opportunity in this angle. Okada vs Tanahashi in terms of a storyline feud is miles better than Omega vs Okada.
@TrolledBy6 жыл бұрын
True, but Tanahashi is nowadays not physically capable to wrestle a 6 star classic like the younger and more athletic Omega. This will be more of an "battle of the aces" rather than "let's break the star rating system" type of match.
@declanbrady996 жыл бұрын
Jan Vehmanen I don't think the story at all should be about the 'star system' when you have these 2 together. This should be a defiant Tanahashi trying to keep his record intact and not let the man who beat him at WK10 do it again.

Its just pointless. Its put a big twig in the middle of things for no reason whatsoever. I just hope that supercard is the climax of this storyline. So we can just get back to the club being "a club." PS: by no means am I saying this is making the quality of the matches sag. As i said the golden lovers, young bucks match was fantastic.

IIRC, Tanahashi lost the IWGP Heavyweight title to fresh-from-TNA Okada after he broke Nagata's defense record. Maybe Okada will lose the title the same way? Okada was a nobody when he first challenged Tanahashi. Dude had a reeeeeeeally bad return match against Yoshi-hashi and his Rainmaker back then looked pretty awful. All we knew of him then was he had a Green Hornet gimmick in TNA and was trained by Ultimo Dragon. Then, out of nowhere, Okada won the belt (the live reaction when he got the win was something to behold). So, I'm thinking, maybe Cody takes the belt? I mean, he's nowhere near the nobody Okada was when he first challenged for the belt but, Cody winning would still be shocking at this point.
