2 weeks before Nash handed Ric the WCW title, Flair had beaten Jeff Jarrett for it. Russo then stripped him of the title and when Nash won it later, he gave it to Ric because he thought that Ric never deserved to be stripped. That's the story they went with anyways so yeah, still WCW 2000 y'all but the point is Ric did actually win the title in his 50's and it was considered a different reign from the one that was handed to him so I'm not sure why you felt the need to kind of disqualify it a bit other than poor research.
