Orton challenging Sheamus the following month after Summerslam isn’t surprising because Randy didn’t lose the Summerslam match. He just had to win the match or he couldn’t challenge for the title again. It was never said he had to win the title. A DQ win is still a win.

It's worth Noting that after Destroying the Nexus at that year's Summerslam, John Cena went on a Losing Streak at the Biggest Party of the Summer, Losing to CM Punk Twice, Big Show, Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins & AJ Styles before Beating Baron Corbin in 2017.

Before anyone says it, Cena did not bury the Nexus. According to Chris Jericho third book, the Nexus were booked to lose. The debate between Cena Edge and Jericho was HOW the Nexus were going to lose. This was where Cena apologized after the fact, realizing he made a mistake. If you want someone to blame, then blame the guy in charge name Vince McMahon.

2010 was the year I truly tuned out of WWE. Between being a Freshman in High School( hormones am I right fellas?), WWE switching to a PG product, and the stagnation of the Cena-centric roster and leftovers warmed up storylines I was tuned out. Apart from CM Punks title run(wow somebody ELSE closing out the shows?!?!) and Daniel Bryan’s Ascension in 2013/2014 , WWE made it very hard to be a young-adult fan of the product. WM 2010 is the last PPV I really remember from that year….and that’s not really a good thing in hindsight

I wouldn’t say team wwe vs team nexus was a bad match. Just a bad finish and bad booking of the nexus after that. And worse then matches like big show vs swagger, divas 5 on 5 tag team match, Kaitlyn vs Maxine, or almost any divas match in 2010, thats a bit of a stretch.

It's possible -- not guarantied, but you could go so far as to say probable -- that the entire landscape of WWE for the next 10+ years would've been very different if the Nexus had been booked with any slight semblance of foresight. That's why, regardless of in-ring quality, that SummerSlam match can't be considered anything other than one of the worst matches WWE has ever put on.

Kane and Undertaker had decent matches at SummerSlam 2000 and WrestleMania XX. But nothing classic. Speaking of which: Team WWE Vs. The Nexus shouldn't be on the list. It was great before the deflating finish.

Sorry, but The Nexus never really mattered to me from the start. To me, it was a bunch of jobbers trying to get attention by rampaging (sort of like teenagers going through puberty). I didn't feel a single second of any sympathy for them whatsoever & was beyond happy when Team WWE defeated them. To this day I can't understand what people see in them, but I'm from the "Ruthless Aggression" era. The WWE was still worth seeing back then.

These "Worst WWE Matches of X" videos are a great reminder of how awesome WCW actually was. No wonder WWE has spent the last two decades trying to rewrite history with all their scripted docos about how terrible the peak of wrestling during WCW was. Sure, not all WCW matches were great and 2000 was a bit of a mess (thanks Russo...) but even in the end it was still better than a lot of this garbage.

well to be fair...Big show vs gallows punk and the lil guy...as big medium and small as they are...there is no way they could hurt a man the size of Paul White....so makes sense he won...and thank f*ck Cena won and got rid of that terrible stable...F*CK that was terrible stable..like 2 guys in it were good
