@@isitoveryet9525 Who said anybody was judging him for this one chapter? I am saying that just because he stopped using drugs, it does not magically cause your other sins to disappear. Anyone familiar with, "getting clean" knows that one of the steps, is to atone for previous harm, done while abusing drugs, or alcohol. That means appologizing for, or trying to offset the sin with a good deed(s). Considering I have been a wrestling fan, since before Jake wrestled for WWE, and the fact I am only learning about the animal abuse now, could mean that Jake, along with people in positions of power, have tried to sweep this info, under the rug! That is the opposite of atonement and this information needs to be spread by as and to as many people as possible! It's obvious Cultaholic does not approve, so why should we, the fans, let it go?? JAKE "THE SNAKE KILLER" ROBERTS needs to address this crime and then do whatever he can, to atone. I plan to spread this info, whenever and wherever, I can and I invite others, who think animal abuse is wrong, to do the same! Our power is our "voices", so let's use them, until Jake acknowledges and atones for this odious activity! P.S. How ironic is it, that the wrestling company, who went to court and lost the right to use the name WWF, (to the animal protection agency, World Wildlife Fund), now has a animal killer, in it's Hall of Fame....

Would really like to see a deep dive into DDP. The fact he didn't even get into the wrestling business until he was in his 30s and how he managed to have the success which he did despite that as well as how it seems nobody has a bad word to say about him would make for a pretty interesting video. Maybe a "Real-life Babyfaces of Wrestling" series? Could also have a sister series of "Real-life Heels of Wrestling" too? Food for thought, I reckon...

Another amazing video, guys. The ending actually made me tear up a bit. Like the man has been through hell, and it is a miracle he is even alive right now, but it is amazing that he has finally put his life on track. DDP is a saint. He did the same with Scott Hall, though sadly he relapsed near the end of his life in part due to the Pandemic's effects on us all, but Dallas Page deserves more than the Hall of Fame induction he has. He deserves to be rewarded for all he's done to help his friends escape their demons. Jake, I hope the rest of your life will be good on you. You deserve peace in your life after all you have suffered through.

I am constantly inspired by Jake’s story. By the numbers and nature of the way he has lived his life, he realistically should have been just another statistic decades ago, but by some absolute miracle he turned his life around in the bottom of the 9th inning. To me it shows the true power and miracle of having good friends and people around you who care, like DDP. What a god send he is.

Jake's life has always been one of turmoil, and he was one very bad incident away from a news report saying "Aurelian Smith Jr, better known as the wrestler Jake "the Snake" Roberts, has passed away at the age of X." One thing is for certain: without DDP, Jake wouldn't be alive today. His intervention helped Jake, and later Scott, recover from their demons to become positive role models once again. While we did lose Scott earlier this year, it wasn't because of his demons, but a bad fall and a blood clot. I, for one, am eternally grateful that DDP does all this for troubled wrestlers. He is a Guardian Angel if there ever was one.

My brother was a big Jake Roberts fan back in the 80s, I never got in to him but liked the DDT as a move... but all this shows what happens when you are surrounded by enablers and people who just make excuses for you, rather than those who have your best interest at heart. Very glad DDP was able to come in and save the day and Jake's story seems to have a happier ending than it should have.

Jake could've been a even bigger star then he was, think even though all his troubles he is still remembered as one of the greatest stars ever do to he could work and on the mic he was great plus he knew how a match should go and how to build it up and in the end he became a what if . Most I believe thing Jake should have been one of the top guys and after his career he should've been in the office working on story lines a booker but nope his demons ruined him but in the end he got clean so maybe the snake now that he shed his old skin is in his new skin will rise again

While I definitely believe that there are evil, and dangerously so, people in the world, I also believe that there are many good people misguided by things like self-delusion, bad experience and substance abuse. Though not all may be rescuable, being too certain/gullible/imprintable, plenty can, and it'd be a damned shame to not try. I myself have made great strides in changing someone through simple understanding and reasoning, so I can very well believe Roberts has genuinely been redeemed, especially considering the desire was clearly there. And I'm someone who isn't so quick to fully accept claims of innocence; some skepticism is necessary to protect oneself. I believe time vindicates talk. And Roberts has had plenty of time. I also believe good outnumbers evil simply because of what it takes for evil to succeed: lies. No matter how you slice it, weaving a convincing lie is more draining than simply being honest because it's piled on to the truth, and people can see that the truth makes sense and lies don't, so it's a waste anyway. The more truth is known, the more lies it destroys. This is why I can stay optimistic in general even as I lament any and all tragedy, including modern woes. And the ones Roberts faced. I highly recommend this account to any doubters of either notion. Thank you, Cultaholic Wrestling.
