Dan, I’ve made a huge progress, I’m free of flare ups and my pain is mostly minimal but at times it goes up and my anxiety kicks in, since it’s been relatively low for a while, I believe I’m doing it right and need to carry on being indifferent and unbothered, thank you for your daily reminders that we can do this!

I'm one of those people who is prone to self criticism. Recently I shared with my therapist that I was feeling disappointed in myself for a small anxiety flare after a period of being relatively anxiety free for a few weeks. She responded with "You've gained control over your symptoms in a record amount of time - and you should be proud of yourself for that" Thought I would share to remind everyone that they are probably making more progress than they even realize. Give yourself credit because you are strong!

Thanks Dan, I really agree with the slow speaking,when nervous I know my rate ramps up. However, I really appreciate your slower calmer speed and voice. Even on regular you tubes I watch (crafting ones) I will think nope not subscribing cos they are so hyper or talk too fast and loud,or if I do subscribe I will think nope not watching today,don’t want that ‘noise’ going on. Fell at my daughter’s and messes my already torn bicep and am working through okay did I use my arm in a way to cause this extra pain or is it tms just warning me. Thanks..

Just a gentle suggestion made out of love 💕 I know you've been following Dan for a while, but on almost every video, you are talking about symptoms you're experiencing. I know it feels like an impossible feat at times, but ceasing talking about symptoms, and sharing one small win every day is really a massive part of what brings healing. All the best to you! ❤️

There can be many reasons for high blood pressure. But STRESS and perceived danger (fear) is one of them. (TMS)

But also do get checked out with your physician. As Dan says there can be many reasons. Make sure you're not in a red zone with your blood pressure, and then you can proceed with your TMS work.

Okay, but what if you’ve had constant severe headaches for three weeks and counting, you barely sleep because of it and all the meditation and trying to stay calm tricks don’t work. I’m about to explode and I feel so much tension because of the pain. How on earth does one stay calm and sane?
@dee4844mzКүн бұрын
You go do the assessment, remind yourself this is your brain overreacting and a temporary state. You say positive statements aloud and watch a few videos of Dan.
@kateking3953Күн бұрын
Just a suggestion, stop trying to stop the headaches. Take whatever medication you need to take that makes it easier, drink plenty of warm water because this will help your body and help your nervous system, lie quietly and listen to a book you like on audio or a podcast about something that interests you. Give yourself a break and don't do anything like meditation or talking to your brain or anything else. Just rest quietly and focus on the story or the podcast. It creates tension trying to get it to stop. Don't try. I don't get pain, but I get scintillating scotoma, flashing zigzags that impede my vision, ie non-headache migraine, and if I lie quietly, drink some warm water and listen to something to take my mind off it, it will go in about half an hour. If I get anxious about it the flashing lights and zigzags are always worse.

Hey Dan, confused about one thing. If we have an unstable pelvis (glutes, abs not firing, hypertonic pelvic floor), wouldn’t that be sending danger signals to the brain and the brain would be unsafe. As you mentioned it’s all about brain safety. Then the pelvic floor being hypertonic at the same time is holding a ton of emotions repressed. So would it be a combination of relax the pelvic floor by strengthening the core so the brain feels safe, and then you can feel those emotions as well. I’ve done a ton of emotional work and have no fear of the injury, but I still can’t get the pelvic floor to release for good so I’m thinking core exercises might be needed to bring safety to the brain and stable pelvis. Does this make sense?
@bchristopher2270Күн бұрын
Adding exercises sends a message to the brain that your pelvic floor is damaged and your body is broken. If you’re here… you’ve determined it’s TMS which means it’s the brain creating the pain using the region as a pain point. My brain uses the stomach… and a few other things. As counterintuitive as it is… completely disengaging with the physical is how the brain decides it is safe. Remember… the body can easily fix all of this without our help if we get out of the way. All of my healing has occurred when I stopped thinking about how to fix it.
@captainbalding2288Күн бұрын
@ I get that, but wouldn’t the pelvic floor having to be tense because the glutes aren’t firing also send a message to the brain that the body isn’t stable and it needs to be contracted?
@captainbalding2288Күн бұрын
@ I would also add my pain isn’t in my pelvic floor so I’m not trying to fix anything there. It’s in my back. I just think as my pelvic floor releases my emotions come out, and if my repressed emotions come out my brain is safe
@PainFreeYouКүн бұрын
We teach the brain safety and the brain handles all the body. Fixing a tight pelvic floor doesn't need to be done. The brain is creating the tension. Working on the body delays recovery. And it's not JUST about emotions. It's about danger of many kinds. This video explains: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4OqhYGio76HgJY This simplifies the process. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGScg2CfoqiEpdE
