Do you have any videos of stalk cropping around 1989 to1990? That when my grandfather was working for them, after he retired from farming.

People don't realize the work that went into row cropping before we had roundup ready soybeans and corn...

These were the days of true operators.

People still operate without GPS. Theres still alot of effort that goes into operating a farm you don't just sit there and hit a joystick on your cellphone.

And even with GPS it's not no cake walk!!!

Are they still farming today?

@@EDBZ28 Pretty sure they are. I used past tense because I haven't been in that area for some years.

Yes sir, we’re still farming. Those were the days of ridge till, great idea well ahead of it’s time. The tech we had then made it a pretty hard to do
@EDBZ28 Жыл бұрын
@@j.p.faivrefarms very impressive operation. I was born in 1979 so the equipment you showcase in these historical videos are what I was drooling over back then. We were dairy farmers until about 20 years ago and now run a smaller grain/hay operation. We run all John Deere and I’ve always loved JD. Do you guys still run JD? In your other response you mentioned ridge till..was the the pre-cursor to strip/zone till of today? We currently strip till corn in previous year’s wheat ground/cover crop and some no-till on top of soybean stubble. Great videos! Thank you
