I feel like all the non core games from GW are in the good place. These models are ace and it's a great tutorial!

I’m thinking of converting these into Subjugator cadre for 30k, sisters of silence on jet bikes!

I love necromunda to bitz. Eshers are such good looking models, they are sexy, yet strong and are such a joy to paint. I have a feeling that people that are running Necromunda know what they are doing with the game unlike 40k. Amazing work, might sign up for Patreon just to look how you painted those ladies!

I'd guess the 'unused' handles are for if you wanted to make a bike as a scenery piece/objective... or to represent a biker that had dismounted (if that's a thing?)

I have found all the Escher arms go on any of the Escher bodies pretty well, so if you want you probably wouldn't need to change the torso on the wyldrunner conversion.

I wanted the twist in the torso

Escher are the coolest. Although not playing Munda, I had that box in my cart last Saturday. But in the end, having two battleforces boxes already in it, I couldn’t really justify the purchase 😅

Any ideas if these bikes would be compatible with ork riders from the beastsnaggaz without too much cutting needed?
@cultofpaint2 жыл бұрын
The bikes would be fine. Getting the legs right for the orks might be trickier

11:55 I disagree, I find the putty to be far superior, easier and less effort to use for small/tiny gaps and use GS for big, wholes/gaps or large surfaces.

I really like the bikes and conversions like this always have me interested! Do you varnish your gaming minis? If not, does the paint rub off with time? I play blood bowl and the minis get manhandled a lot, so I feel like the paint will suffer easily from wear and tear without varnish. I'd like to have the gloss contrast as well but currently I'm mostly bothering with doing a gloss varnish over the metals.

Goobertown Hobbies did a video on this ages ago where he simulated moving a bunch of minis, both varnished and not, around a game board a ridiculous number of times. It's worth watching. Think he found that the non varnished minis showed *very* negligible amounts of wear even after hundreds of trips around the game board.

How rough you play with your man dolls will affect the need for varnis has will the material the mini is made out of. metal minis chip as soon as you look at them and should be varnished if you plan on letting other people touch them or transport them. plastic minis hardly ever chip from touch but can get damaged during transport. resin about the same as plastic in my experience but the risk for damage and breakage during transport is greater as it is not as sturdy as plastic and often has thinner details. If you experience that your models wear and tear then varnish is a good idea as most of us have enough things to paint without having to do touchups to already finished projects. I dont find that paintjobs get damaged from play but transport can be rough

I don’t generally bother varnishing you protect them. I try where possible to move via the bases. And I think you’re always gonna have to do the odd touch up on extremities whether you varnish or not.

Nice end result! I didn't like that classic bright AF one shown by GW. I much prefer this worn out look. Saying all that my painted Orlok squad is closer to 'cyberpunk' than it is to Necromunda :D Maybe it will be featured in Culture of Paint one day :D (If I manage to do good pictures :/ )
