My first show was in 1989. The 90’s were an amazing time for hardcore in Boston. There were all ages shows every weekend and countless amazing bands. Now 34 years later my son is a second generation BHC kid. The pit has gotten so much more violent and it’s slightly unnecessary (most likely a fad that will pass) but other than that the new generation of BHC have got heart and they are doing it right!! BHC forever!!

We need another documentary on the Boston Hardcore scene. Boston Beatdown was great, but something even deeper would be appreciated. -signed, a dude that lived through the Boston scene from 89- today

Boston beat down was not about the hardcore scene .. Boston has so many great bands from the late 70s to now… there needs a real documentary about all the different eras not just blood for blood (who I love) and death before dishonor

seriously i started listening to NYHC first, but BHC was a such huge difference that made me interested in Hardcore much more.

I like early Boston HC more because it's faster, more chaotic, less breakdowns etc. I do like both, but I'm speed freak. It ties well into my love for all things fastcore/thrashcore/grindcore. Boston scene was instrumental to development of faster HC and grindcore

The one thing Boston Hardcore was best at is talking about Boston Hardcore.
