I work for a big 4 consulting firm and Simon actually came to one of our events as a guest speaker. He was super intelligent and street smart. Till this day, I still remember his speech about Culture Kings vividly. Sorry Jamie I don’t think your interview showed any of that. His material possessions don’t inspire people. It’s his stories on how he grew his business.
@wansworld27 Жыл бұрын
yeah I was thinking, where's the story of how he started his business etc
@Judegalang_ Жыл бұрын
I think there were a few sections, he spoke about resilience, action taking etc. enough of a glimpse / call to action to research Simons personal brand.

This guy's whole channel is about material stuff
@hook8535 Жыл бұрын
Think what it is is there was a deeper story to be told about the journey towards the top but instead seemed to throw up a more materialistic story instead.

A wonderful buildup when Simon was talking about taking action... ruined by Jamie asking to take a ride in his car. You missed a great interview opportunity.

I shopped at his market stall in Carrara Markets in 2008. Even then I thought this was a serious street wear shop for a market setting. It was almost out of place. It’s no surprise it grew to what it is today. There really was nothing like it.

The article says they sold Culture Kings for $307.4 million and received shares to another business. The shares of the other business (not culture kings) have fallen over 90%.

I agree. But, congrats on doing a great job and putting together a great video. In the future, please, sit the person down and ask them great business questions where people will be shocked to hear the answers. And, force the person not to tell you the typical answers like " You need to work hard.....blah...blah...blah"
