I agree and I feel like each dance and even the uniform looked rushed and incomplete. I’m disappointed in the Samoan chapter this year. Ua kau augakaka kamaiki e fai faalelei lakou mea. Smh

I don’t know. I feel like this year Samoa has become lazy with their numbers. And to top it off, the aiuli were too close to the Taupou to the point where the Taupou put her foot on his back THATS A BIG NO NO IN OUR CULTURE! Not enough education done in preparation of each part in the whole chapter. And whoever dressed the Taupou, try and dress her with less tapa for her comfort and flexibility. I’m disappointed in our people this year. Ae malo lava le faafiafia ma le taumafai. Still a strong Samoan at heart 🇼🇸🇦🇸

Because of covid restrictions in hawaii, students had only three weeks to prepare for culture night this year. The aiuli’s are not Samoan and were just imitating what they’ve seen other Polynesians do although you are right. I thought they did a great job with the time they had to prepare and done under Hawaii’s strict gathering laws.
