Hey Kat, I love the video! I really miss hanging out with you but it felt like you were talking to me through the video so that will have to satisfy me for now 💕 I totally agree with you on the washing up/shoes in the house situation , so unlike Bulgarian culture! But love the politeness and orderliness of people here! Great video xxx

Not rinsing dishes is lazy. Those who do it just never really learned what they are doing and are just mimicking a learned motion that doesn't quite get the job done.

We always have washed the dishes off with fresh water after cleaning them. And we always have taken our shoes off when we come into our house .

I don't know who these uncooth people who wear shoes indoors are. Never done it in my life and I'm nearly 50, take them off in the hallway or outside if particularly muddy. It might just be certain regional areas where it happens but I've not come across it at all.

Shoes indoors. One of the poorer ideas in Britain. Tread round in the outdoor much, quick wipe off, spread it round indoors. No thanks. (a Brit).

Not rinsing dishes and cutlery after washing up is not a cultural thing. I would think that most people would rinse soap from dishes and cutlery these days. I do and always have, so did my parents. Rinsed under hot running water and placed on a rack they dry in a few minutes which is far more hygienic than drying them with a towel.

Hi, I thought I detected a slight northern accent but didn't know you were so close in Leeds, I'm from Bradford. Great to hear about all differences between Russia and England as we don't get know a lot about the Russian way of life. Poor doggies, do they have to stay outside in cold Russian winters too🥶 really enjoyed the video 😁👍

Hi Mich, great guess ! I’ve lived in the West Yorkshire area the whole time and I like it here. I’ve been to Bradford a few times and I like the photography museum there. Thank you for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed this video. I myself like to watch videos about differences as well as it’s so fascinating.

Hi Mich, just realised that I didn’t answer your question about the doggies. Yes, the dogs slept in their kennels even in winter, but the owners would lay warm blankets inside and staple warm blankets to the walls. Someone I know has an outdoor brick oven which is warm so he built a small kennel underneath for his small dog. It’s pretty warm under there. I’m not sure what people do in really cold areas of Russia like Siberia . Probably similar things.

can't imagine dogs or cats living outside in sub-zero temperatures in the russian winter. must be months of torture for them, even in a kennel.

:-D haha thank you, but which part of Lancashire ? Manchester or Liverpool? It’s so funny because I don’t even notice how my accent is morphing into different accents. Years ago people told me I sounded French , then Scottish :-)

Freedom is the reason, how you feel and what you want to do, it is a personal choice to suit you yes. The weather has all ways been different but used to be far more sectioned in season, spring, summer, autumn and winter, now with global change these seasons are more or less integrated into one, so now you have to select a clothing choice for anything. Queuing is a sensible way for anything popular but unfortunately many now do not comply and this is due to them being brought up without manners and being different will all ways bring out the worst as well as the best in people.
