Hi Donna! I just received the kefir grains that I have ordered from you and just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate everything that I have learned from your channel. I can genuinely feel so much love and care through your videos and products that you share. Even opening your package with the kefir grains made me so happy… The package had beautiful custom packaging with your cute “cultured food life” logo, on everything and I’m just so excited for how these kefir grains are going to help me and my family! ❤❤❤ Sending blessings to you!

I Love This Stuff: L. Rueteri... It's so easy to make and It came out awesome from the first batch and each sucessesive batch.. Downside,.. I had to be patient and wait 36 hours- rofl 🤣. So, I actually bought a 2nd InstaPot so I could get a second batch brewing every couple of days. I also mix it in with FAGE 5% Greek.. just get a couple good bacteria strains. My first batch has just a teen tiny seperatation. I use pint jars (4) in my Insta pot filled about half up each. Only one jar has a couple of tablespoons of seperation; the other 3 had no speration. The 2nd batch (and successive batches) had zero seperation. The consistancy was super thick, very smooth and perfect in flavor.

Hi, Donna. Love your videos! They've helped me a lot in my health journey. I would be interested in standalone B. Coagulans fermented dairy recipe since it does not grow well when combined with L Gasseri and L Reuteri in the SIBO yogurt.

I have a question. I have made 2 batches so far. My primary batch, then the second batch made from the primary. The first batch had a softer flavor then the second. The second tasted like cheese and had a cheese like odor. Should I start from scratch using Dr. Davis' My Reuteri capsules? Or should I make another batch using the secondary batch as a starter? And should I decrease the inulin? I used 2 tablespoons of inulin in both batches.

Your information is very helpful. I am new to making yogurt, my first batch blew up on me because I put too much L. Reuteri in. One of the first videos I watched said to put ten tablets in, I found that I only need one. My second batch had a lot of separation, I thought that was bad, but now I know it’s okay. I’ll start my third batch in a day or two, see how it goes.

Maybe depends on the type of tablets. I use 10 bio gaia gastus in the first batch. There was a little seperation, but for every batch since no seperation. Good luck…..

Donna thank you so much for all your incredible content! if you happen to see this comment/question, could you let us know your thoughts about whether for optimal health benefits from the probiotics we should be eating these cultured dairy products on an empty stomach (like is often recommended for a probiotic supplement) or if they can be equally effective/beneficial when eaten say at the end of a meal? i got in the habit of eating yogurt at the end of my meal because a wholistic dentist said that full fat dairy was a great thing to leave on our teeth (if not a xylitol product). but now that im making my own yogurt and shifting my focus to using it as a vehicle for these helpful bacteria, i wonder if id get more benefit eating it at the beginning of the meal??? I would greatly appreciate any advice or insight if you manage to mention it in any up coming video. thank you so much! i share your channel with everybody i know!

I’ve been using half and half and using Dr Davis’ recipe for a couple of years. For some reason, my last three batches, including this one didn’t turn out like it did for the first year or so. I need some help. It separated, has a creamy texture on top, but has a bitter aftertaste. I love my Luvele yogurt maker, by the way!🙂

I have made this custard 2 months and it has been life changing in depression, inflammation causing hip pain and right scapula pain, but sleep has not been WAY better, just a little better. I wonder if it is because the L reuteri I use is only 2 Billion, just realilzed that so will start using 2 capules to get higher content, I have had to drink Yakult bf bed to get to dream state sleep, still wake up too much but get back to sleep.

I started noticing my subsequent batches of L.Rueteri yogurt have become extremely sour. I tried 2% milk and that's when it turned super sour, I went back to 1/2 n 1/2 with cultures from the sour batch and that turned out very sour. Previous to using the 2% the yogurt was wonderful thick and great tasting. Nothing had changed with the way I process it. Any suggestions?

Mine seperates after 12 hours? I set my dehydrator to 100 degrees? I just made my 4th batch... 2nd and third by using 2 tbsp of 1st batch. Any ideas?
@dawneandjohn
@dawneandjohn 10 сағат бұрын
I would suggest using a thermometer and checking the temp of the yogurt every 1-2hrs. It's possible that, even though the machine is set to 100°F, that the temperature around the yogurt container is not 100°F... or the dehydrator is off a few degrees in either direction. Depending on your dehydrator, you might need to move it closer or further away from the fan... or maybe use a cotton towel wrapped around the yogurt container to keep it warmer if it's not keeping the right temp.

Do you recommend making Dr Davis Sibo yogurt each strain separately and then eating a Tablespoon of each daily? I have been making it all together as he is recipe. I have had eczema for 10 years last August. So I got his book and started in Nov 2024. I am some better but wonder if it would be better separate. Any Help?

@DangerZone-w6y 18 күн бұрын
I think "first batch" can be just a little lumpy/grainy.. but you can stir it and it smoothes out. From that batch forward..it's incredibly smooth/thick.
@TheSpecialJ11
@TheSpecialJ11 18 күн бұрын
I am wondering the same. All three batches have either separated or been grainy or both. (One of each). I'm hoping batch four goes better, having reduced the inulin.

The capsules don't work very well and often get killed in the stomach acids. Dr Davis talks about this in his book Super Gut. I also have a video showing why fermented foods work better. www.culturedfoodlife.com/are-probiotic-foods-stronger-than-probiotic-supplements/

Can you use raw milk?
@beijaflorlove
@beijaflorlove 18 күн бұрын
You could, but you need to prepare the milk to a specific temperature. If I am not wrong, it is 185 to 190F and hold the temperature for a few minutes, and you need to wait until the temperature goes down until 99-100F to add the ingredients.

High-Temperature Short-Time (HTST) Pasteurization: • Temperature: 72°C (161°F) • Time: 15 seconds • This is the most common method for milk pasteurization. It's effective at killing most pathogenic bacteria while preserving the taste and quality of the milk. After heating, the milk is rapidly cooled to below 4°C (39°F).

I made my first batch today, and it had the consistency of cottage cheese, and a lot of whey. It wasn’t very sour, but tasted and looked like cottage cheese with whey. I put in a second batch today with the cottage cheese looking curds. If it’s not that sour does it have enough l. Reuteri present it to make it strong?

L Reuteri just makes me tired and unmotivated. Ive got up in between 6 -7am every day for the last 25 years and since taking it for well over a month I struggle to wake up in the mornings and can sleep until 10am. At least the constipation stopped after about a month of taking it. I will stop taking it and hopefully my normal routine returns, Ive not noticed any benefits of taking it. It seems to me its just a way of shilling yogurt makers.

@Alexxx---101 hi, thanks for sharing your experience. May I ask which brand / type of L Reuteri you were using? I also think the other person who commented may be on to something- perhaps you were feeling tired, constipated, and just off in general because of a die off effect. As the bad bacteria and fungus dies, your body has to deal with the toxins and you can feel worse during this process. Once they have been reduced, you should feel a lot better.

@KarinaJustSmile Or just maybe the long list of so called benefits isn't true and this is all about shilling a product for financial gain. I don't stand to gain or lose anything when sharing my opinion about L Reuteri, it's just someone's unbiased and honest opinion thats tried it with an open mind. You can say that maybe my body is healing but even if I tried L Reuteri for another 6 months you could still say the same thing. Maybe you also stand to gain something?
