I am fairly new to making kefir. When I store grains in milk in the fridge for several days, can I use that milk when I start them up again? Or do I have to discard it?

Donna When you make L. Reuteri Superfood Yogurt can you use that yogurt as a starter for another batch? Thanks Denise

Yes you can. Get the book Super Gut...the Dr who invented the reuterii yogurt explains it all

Donna, I've watched your podcast regarding kefir and kidney function. I went througha very traumatic experience a few years back that messed up my mind and physical aspects of my body as well. I started on homemade kefir and it affected my kidneys negatively. I couldn't stand up straight because of so much back pain. Stopped the kefir and it went away. I started up again at a lower dosage as my initial trial run I was taking 2 cups a day starting out. I've been taking kefir for nearly a month now and am noticing mental health benefits but I can tell that it is affecting my kidneys. I started on a power dosage and by week 2 moved up to 4 cups one night. Next day, kidney pain was back. I've been doing other natural remedies for kidneys and slowed down on the kefir and the pain is going away. Is this a detox by chance? Are you familiar with this?

Try A2A2 cow milk, or buffalo, goat, sheep milk for making kefir. Also try using milk kefir grains for kefir, the store bought is made with powder, it's not the same
