Heinz beans in tomato sauce, pan fried eggs, sausage and bacon, with pan fried onions and sliced up bell peppers. The ultimate single guy meal. One pan for everything. I tend to cook the eggs last, since that gives them the flavor of all the meats and peppers and onions. And don't forget grainy, seeded bread on the side. Not mecessarily black bread. But around 50% grainy bread goes well.

We’ve always had grilled cheese in the UK. We just called it a Cheese Toasty as far as I can tell the only difference is the a weird mystic that is given to the grilled cheese. the Cheese Toasty also has an open version, Cheese on Toast. Beans on Toast is also great but not essential to a Full English Breakfast. The Full English normally has the beans separate from the toast, the main alternative is fried tomatoes. My grandmother grew up eating this stuff that eventually came to be called “stuffed macaroni” during the Great Depression. I’m assuming they made it because it fills you up very easily, keeps well in the freezer, and was cheaply made back then. I don’t know the full story behind it because she never really knew how it originated, but it’s always been a family tradition to eat it every year. You would think something that originated during the Great Depression would taste like dog shit but it’s actually amazing. Without giving away any family secrets, it’s basically a big homemade ravioli with spinach, sausage, and cheese inside topped with marinara sauce. Every girlfriend we’ve ever introduced to it rightfully thinks it’s weird at first but after they try it once or twice everyone loves it. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who didn’t honestly.
