I liked that in the ps2 version the faces were created by an artist. I don’t say that because I think the remake characters were ugly, but they lose the archetypical feel that the original had. I love the character designers from 1 and 2. The cut scene from 1 where Lisa the nurse bleeds to death I think is one of the most amazing cgi animations from that era. It was completely made and rendered by one artist. I think it has a soul that we lose from purely trying to capture everything from mocap.
