A real world example here... twin 42" CMP pipes, protruding maybe 6" from a rough, flat cement headwall with very long timber wingwalls. 18" cleanout access via cement pipe from above. The two CMP pipes meet somewhere under the two lane road and emerge as a single large oval CMP. Is it even possible to model a mess like this? Thank you, enjoyed the video.

That does sound like a beast of a culvert. So in any situation, the best approach is to break down the problem into smaller analysis segments. I would start at the inlet control - how much ponding is happening as a result of the inlet, what is the resulting flowrate entering each culvert pipe. The trick with that analysis will be finding the appropriate inlet coefficient. My gut says that it should reflect the square edge headwall with wingwalls, and might not be as related to the "protruding end" type of coefficient. With the flowrate found from the inlet control analysis you should move the analysis downstream to where the flow combines and compute the normal depth of flow in the combined pipeline. If the depth of flow is greater than pipe, then your water is flowing under pressure and it will cause a backwater effect and you will need to find the total energy in the fluid moving upstream from the junction of the two pipes. I think you can do this analysis using HEC-RAS but focusing on only one of the pipelines at the inlet and adding a flowrate change in the middle of the pipeline where the other pipe comes in. Thie sounds like a beast of a probelm, but when you finish the problem I know you'll feel like you earned your engineer street cred :-D.

Veryyyy good your videos, only I do not really like imperial system :)

No one actually likes the imperial system. It's extremely awkward. I plan to redo the videos using SI units so hopefully that makes these videos better in the future.

Hey sir we need more about piping system plz upload some knowledge about piping systems

Are you referring to pressurized piping systems or gravity-fed piping systems?
