We thoroughly enjoyed the day out today. For a start there was no stress from the beginning, no online digital booking to get a ticket, you could just turn up with a tenner in your pocket and have a brilliant day out it really was one of the best days I’ve had.

Hi Matilda. I love this video. I remember a lot of these old cars and wagons. I worked in many garges from the early 1970s but as many people didn't have new cars, a lot of the vehicles were from the 1960s or earlier. Your enthusiasm is infectious and very rare in a young lady. Please keep it up.

Another great video Matilda, the interviews with the owners were very informative. The Austin 1100 was the best selling car in the UK for most of the 1960’s and yours looks and sounds like lovely example. Bearing in mind they sold in their thousands there really aren’t many left so yours is quite a rarity now, having Princess as well gives you quite a nice pair of classic cars, even if one is a bit moody !

I know she’s going to turn it around this year just took some settling in 😂 it’s just a bit annoying, we can jump in Austin and go anywhere with no worries, but Princess we still need to know Billy and his breakdown truck are in the vicinity 😂 still lover her though!

Hello, another fantastic video. I'm in Surrey. There's a dismantled railway not far from me with Privett tunnel which can't walk down now. When it was being built in the mid 1800s two workers got caught in a cave in, inside a ventilation shaft. They rescued one man, but the other died whilst saying a prayer. When the line opened, track maintenance men would often hear the prayer from a voice, some said they could see George's face in the vent shaft. There must be some truth in it because British rail paid for an exorcism. I used to love exploring old disused railway lines. We're was that one you went to? Johnny.

I used to go to the vintage vehicle rally in Heaton Park every year, but since they stopped it there aren't any I can get to where I live. There are a couple of bus running days over towards Merseyside but since they tend to hold them on Sundays I can't get over there ironically because of the lack of transport, whereas Heaton Park had really good public transport even on a Sunday.

@@matildariverwaldennews Well batteries go on nearly all cars every five years or so. As long as your alternator isn’t over or undercharging a new one should last another 5 years or so. (I tape the receipt to mine so if it does die early I’m not scrabbling around for it).

@@thtmotoring We have no choice as we haven’t a garage but on every dry day in the winter we open the doors,boot, bonnet etc to let air though and also close them all and put a fan heater in for a bit
