Cummins 24 Valve Exhaust Sound

This is the exhaust sound of my 1999 2nd Gen Ram with a 24 valve Cummins engine. Exhaust is a straight pipe 4” MBRP with a Flopro twister resonator to reduce drone.

Awesome man I got that same truck just like yours mines 01 model . wash The underneath every month so that it won't rust. second gen Cummins for Life. 👍

Yeah before winter I’m gonna fluid film the whole underside to prevent rust. But yeah can’t beat the second gen Cummins, best truck I’ve ever bought!

How do you like the straight exhaust with just the resonator? I'm buying a flo pro 4" straight for my 01 next week and am debating on running a resonator/muffler or just resonator. Love the sound but hate the drone with a passion!

It reduced the drone quite a bit! Still a little bit around 2k rpms but not near as bad as just the straight pipe. The key is to put it as far upstream in your exhaust as possible.
