My boost is at 29 also and all I've done is turn up the pump, star wheel is turned down, and smoke screw is down too. Also have the exhaust cut a the cab with a 6' long 6" stack under the bed. It only smokes if I stomp on it or I'm towing

Oh ya, truck is a 92 W350 dually with 145k original miles. Unfortunately its an automatic, but some day she's gonna get a NV5600

Did you turn in the fuel screw? The diaphram to the fuel pin had a dimple that was at 2:00 and I rotated it to the 6:00 position. I picked up some more boost on my '92 by connecting a 4" exhaust from the downpipe to the back. The stock tailpipe had a sharp turn that was actually a kink in the pipe.

It could be, there's pines in PA up north, but still I realized now how DirtyDiesels is worldwide, so this guy could be anywhere in the US or even in Canada.

I was just given a 1989 W350 SRW by a guy up the road. It is super clean, and runs great, but he pulled the tranny at 200,000 miles when he lost reverse. He had it rebuilt but never put it back in the truck. I am currently gathering parts for the installation and need a torque converter. Are you running the stock converter, and if so, how many RPMs are you turning at 60 MPH? Any help would be appreciated, and that is a SWEET truck you have

Makes sense, hence the "norcal" in your name. Anyway I have seen this truck alot, and it's probably the nicest first gen out there. I love the pic with the american flags on it!
