Cummins 4BT Turbo Diesel Rebuild Project | The Tear Down | EP1

If you've been following me from my Johnson's Gee-Rage channel, you'll know that I swapped in a 4BT cummins into my 82 F150. It's been in service for about 6 years and already had a ton of miles on it prior to the swap. Well this year I want to pull the engine and give it the rebuild and upgrades it deserves.

Your skills raise storage for many of our futures. Thank u very much brother. What I'll like you to do is work on old time Chevy and one or 2 of modern dodge that has computer/brain box. BUT still I love old time truck. I always love Ford f150 since I was 2 years old. I'll like u to try building a 6 door Cummins truck. I admire your teaching. What flywheel clutch pressure plate did you use? What manual transmission are you using Mazda or ztf?

Good greetings, very good that engine I have a similar engine cummins 6AT3.4 6cil with turbo vehicle application I need some spare parts for that engine, two gaskets, chamber gaskets and a 6 sets of std rings, could you help me and tell me where you can locate those spare parts thanks cummins 6at 6cil turbo de 120hp

if i was you i would replace the sleeves if the they are bad and maybe rebuild the fuel injection pump if its in the budget

These are not sleeved engines

Injection pump has already been rebuilt awhile back so luckily i wont need to touch it. the engine block is getting bored .020 over and new mahle pistons are being installed.

nice video i appreciate it but i cringe every time you take one bolt all the way out before loosening the others. flywheel, head bolts, etc

do you know how many miles that engine had before you did the rebuild?

I think it had somewhere between 300-400k miles.

cummins starter that came with the international made adapter.
