Cummins ISL9 Overheating problem and Thermostat Replacement

Just done this last night, that piece was separated and laying in the engine when I removed the neck. Put thermostat in engine, then put bolts in the neck and lower it down. Use socket and extension to start bolts. I changed Stat before watching this video, nice to see it being broken wasn't just a fluke.

Is it possible for coolant to leak from there?

Did you say got up to 250f during test drive? What does it take to damage the engine?

I have a 2014 frightliner with a isl 9 Cummings , losing coolant but no sign of any leaks. Any ideas.

You had red coolant, is that the 500k mile stuff.

I rest Dpf filter on Detroit diesel software I’m not sure on different scanner.
