Hi Matt had my 2000 isx rebuilt a year ago last may. Had 1,350,000 on a rebuild. It was still running great. A valve spring broke. Cost me 30,000 to rebuild it. Done at Peterbilt zanesville Ohio. Should had took it to Cummins in Toledo. It’s running good just didn’t care for dealer. Young mechanic never rebuilt a non emissions engine before. I changed oil in it every 10,000 miles bought it new. It had dual overhead cams. They were still original . Has a 1,879,000 miles on it total. Good luck. There not cheap to rebuild for sure.

Just had Jerry’s guys rebuild my 2015 isx a few months back. I mean it doesn’t need said when you’re talking about Jerry Martin shop but you’ll be happy with the work for sure. Mine wiped the cylinder walls out and was burning 2ish gallons of oil weekly.

Yep, inframe. My cat did the same thing for 3 weeks, then i ate a lifter and wiped a cam lobe. If the heads gotta come off, might as well drop the pan too and rebuild it.

Hey Matt, unfortunate introduction to the video 📹, nice tanker passing you there, again some beautiful scenery along the way, was it OK to still use the truck 🚚, after you showed us the problem???
