Glad it helped.. There is another channel called "the drippin wet" that did a really good job of showing this on a boat. Check that out too.

Notwithstanding the comments about using a dirty core to show cleaning technique, this is a very helpful video, as is everything I see from Seaboard. Seeing the disassembly and reassembly of a clean unit helps a lot with technique. Hey Seaboard, one question... what type/brand of grease do you recommend...?? I've usually used Lanoline grease here due to its stability, but would like to know what generic (I live in Australia, so what specific you recommend may not be readily available here) brands/type/spec is best...??

Great video - you remove the plastic from the vanes (x4) but I do not see if he replaces them before reassembly?

Something is missing here! The after cooler shown looks new. The video should show a used after cooler full of crud, and show how to clean it. Otherwise, whats the purpose?

Andy x well, they sell the new aftercoolers brand new, but before they shipped it, they prepare it with grease, so they are preparing a new aftercoolers before they ship it for delivery. This is not a video on how to clean a used dirty element.

This video is useful to those who have new or very clean after-coolers, we have plans to show you how we deal with some dirty ones too. Coming soon.

First of all they dont come out without penetrant and the video you are showing is a brand new unit it takes more to remove then what you're showing.

change name to 'new aftercooler preparation' not maintenance. also, seems almost 1/3 is watching bolts being removed... time to edit that down. was looking for actual maintenance, not new unit prep.

We hear you... This is one of our older videos, since then we have honed our editing skills a little. We have plans to make an updated after cooler video with a well used after cooler, actually we would like to show one well maintained and one neglected. Just waiting for the right timing in the shop to shoot the video. Thanks for the input.

Ok 5 years later...you remarked about making a REAL Maintenance video, WELL ?

All I can say is it's tough. We don't have a dedicated person or team to make videos. I do have a lot of good footage and we are getting closer.
