I was just working on mine. A note for anyone looking to change the air filter.......You have to take out a lot of 10 MM bolts securing the top panel on the generator, the panel over the air filter and the front shroud. There are 3 top panels. The panel covering the air filter area, the panel that goes from that to the back of the generator and the panel covering the front section of the generator. You remove the 2 bolts that secure the air filter to that panel, then remove enough of the bolts on those 3 panels to allow you to life the front and back panels a bit. You then take the center panel and rotate it to be able and pull it off. They designed it with interlocking bends and it is a real pain in the ass to remove.

For the QD 10000, I discovered I only had to remove the 3 (10 mm) screws on top of the genset that secured the coolant overflow tank....Then slide the tank down (and outward) to access the air filter housing behind the tank. It was an easy job.

Glad you finally found it, but sometimes, reading the owner's manual does really help. It's on page 3-6 and all 10K Onans I've seen have it located in the same place.

Thank you! I had a neighbor help me find it then I find it on KZbin! I have a 12000 QD and there is nothing helpful on KZbin. I don’t have a manual but may have to purchase one. I was having issues with my generator shutting down I hope this is the fix.

Just what I was looking for...thanks. Here's my tip though. All of the Onan filter part numbers are listed right on the label by the start switch. From there looking up the cross references, if needed, is easy.

Becareful if you order fuel filter from Amazon many of them are Chinese brand they leak we order some of them didn't work you can use other brands for oil and air filters but I recommend you to use Onan fuel filter

You know you can take it out without removing the bracket it's easier also if you remove the dipstick it will come out very easy I do that everyday and teach my coworkers both ways to do it

Oil Drain plug is located on the bottom of the unit. I use a vacuum pump inserted into the dipstick tube. Much easier for me.

Just like a regular car it's in the bottom of the generador the Onan 10000 drain plug size is 7/8s or 22mm the oil filter is 122-0893 Onan brand you can also find it in fleetguard and also Napa has filters that fit perfectly in the generador oil capacity it's 6 qrts 15-40 oil
