The attention to detail and amount of human interaction is fantastic to see. Great work at the CTP plant, Cummins!

My father would like the Cummins Engine Co.to know that he takes the greatest pride in fixing these engines here in Guyana.His number one high speed diesel engine wil always be Cummins.I have seen him overhauling an old model NT 855(made in Great Britain) generator set and at the first turn of the key it roars into motion effortlessly.Thats the beauty of a Cummins.Cheers.

Seems like a great place to work, I'd be proud to be building parts for the best engines in the world

Nice work, Holset turbos are great... What Cummins really needs to work on is their aftertreatment. The emissions equipment on the 6.7 makes that engine complete garbage. It causes nothing but problems. More importantly it contributes to poor performance and fuel mileage. Revise that and I'd safely say Cummins would be the better diesel again. They definitely were back when 6.0 PS's and LB7/LLY Dmaxs were out in the early 2000s. Honestly nowadays a Powerstroke or Duramax is a better purchase.

@Don Olypopper, Cummins does provide the after treatment system as an OEM product for their engines. Here is a nice video by Cummins demonstrating the after treatment system kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmnGnX5vprh6os0 The questions are, is it available for the 6.7 L engine line? If it's available, does RAM uses Cummins system or their own system?

I wonder what alloy they use for the turbine housing. 700ºF ? don't you mean 700ºC ?

new Cummins you should learn now how to build engine and turbos from VOLVO

Valerian Solomon You have no clue what you’re talking about. Google Volvo injector cup leaks, coolant leaks, etc. Replacement parts for the 13.0L Volvo are ridiculous. I worked for a company that had a fleet of 12.7 Series 60 units that were being phased out with new Volvo 13.0 units. I’d take an old Series 60 over a Volvo 13.0 every time.

@Don Olypopper reliability and egr don't go together....
@prevost86864 жыл бұрын
Don Olypopper Not anymore. Reliability in class 8 engines went away with the advent of 2010 emissions. Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, Volvo have all suffered from emissions systems that are killing the engines. I’m keeping my old pre-emissions 12.7 Detroit Diesel as long as I can afford to.
