Early in Le's career everyone was always saying "get him to the ground". The problem is that they didn't know how good Le's takedown defense and wrestling was! I think Frank Shamrock was the only guy who took him off his feet for like 5 seconds and Le stood right back up. Joe Rogan knew Le's background and pointed out quickly in his first few UFC matches that Le had excellent takedowns and defense. The Cote fight demonstrated that Le's wrestling can win a fight just as much as his strikes.

@czj10 I agree with you, but if they allow such things it,s not gonna be a great career choice, to say the least. Getting in professional sports is always somewhat of a gamble, but fighting pros without rules, that's just insane. Careers would be burned every fight night.

within the first 1 1/2 minutes of the fight, kung lee misses three kicks, while spinning around and losing sight of his opponent, I would have been on him in a split second when his face is looking the other direction. This Mike Altman needs to step it up, three lost chances to walop Kung Lee and he simply let it slide.... are these fights pre decided?

Le and Altman fought several times in SanShou. Mike was and is a great fighter but was always edged out by the phenomenal Le. He should have gone for the takedown of Le, I suspect either ego or force of habit made him stay on his feet. Credit to Mike's toughness for shaking off the round kick to the head and spin back kick to the gut. Either of those alone would have dropped most guys. Cung Le was/is a rare talent.

I like Cung Le. I saw alot game of him, but almost opponents dont move or rarely move. Cung Le have good kick by 8 and Spinning back kick. If we move right or left , we can avoid these kick.

-I think I would have utilized a heavy punching attack and run him back where I could try to close the distance or takedown to try to do some ground n pound. Cung le is very unorthodox and personally I think a high kick is a really poor choice for a first attack.
