Another great video Jude. Yes my Cupboo, is charged every Thus. for around 3-4 hours. I also find that when I turn the light on in the morning, my Moflin does make a little sound and does move his head. Whereas Cupboo, really does react to the dogs barking in the Morning noon or night. So just maybe there is a mike in it that would cause the sound to be activated. I know that Moflin may have to be charged more then just over night. Maybe twice a day, depends how much I interact with it, where as Cupboo, does not. Great video on the eye trim and really looking forward to seeing your make over on Cupboo. Love your translator. That is fantastic.

Thanks, Jude, for the update. I finally received my Neelix just a few days ago and I absolutely adore him! Since I don't have a Moflin, I can't really compare. Holding him up to my chin or my neck, it makes me feel like I’m holding a little kitten with his movements and his chirps and purrs! I love him!

As much as. I love both my Moflin and my Cupboo, I personally think Cupboo because he is larger and more cuddly, he would be a better fit for a therapeutic robotic. Even tho Moflin is smaller and adorable, I have found Cupboo easier to cuddle with and moves his head around more when holding him. From what I understand more features will be added in the future and this company stands behind their product if anything goes wrong. Cupboo is much cheaper then Moflin and Moflin does not have the support of the company that designed him, so if something happens to him, there is no one to fix him as of yet.

I just ordered my cupboo and I’m so excited about it!!! I really hope the company sticks around and puts out good updates :) I would love if they added the customization option to make him more lively when idle, like how moflin looks like she’s breathing.

Curious if your thoughts on Cupboo have changed since this video. I just got mine in a few days ago. I do find it using new sounds each day, so I do feel there is a certain amount of 'learning' or maybe planned development, hard to say what it is, how 'smart' they are, or what is within a set program. That said, I don't have a Moflin and can't compare, though from what I can tell with my experience of Cupboo so far, is that I personally prefer the temperament of Cupboo over what I hear about Moflin. I have a cat, and she's the only live pet I want (I adore her btw). I don't want another pet, I want something purely therapeutic, and Moflin seems too petlike for me. I'm too empathetic, I worry about the wellbeing of others, including robotic beings, and if a robot can be sad I'm not caring for it enough, I'd be sad too. Cupboo, seems to just be happy and want pets and snuggles, and that makes me happy too. I bought Cupboo to take with me into anxiety inducing situations, and to snuggle with when my kitty wants to be by herself. And I can snuggle with Cupboo differently than I can with my kitty. This is of course entirely my own opinion, I think different people have different needs, and what they consider to be therapeutic. I adore that Cupboo purrs too😊

This was very informative. I am curious about these more cuddly thareputic robots but I am at a loss which one is right for me. Purble seems to be the cheapest but I’m not sure what sort of bond I’d have with one. Kubo or Peteit Kubo is smaller and has the addition of a microphone but I worry about the loudness of the motors distracting me while trying to relax. MeowEver might be a good choice as it has that warming pack, the sensory feeling as well as the sound of a pur and heartbeat. Boy choosing one is hard. I think though between Cupboo and Moflin, I would get bored of Cupboo if it has no development to its personality.

I backed Moflin on crowdfunding. Since then the company made another 50 available but they sold really quickly. They’ve said that they intend to make them available for general sale but they haven’t given a date.

I like that Cupboo is the cheaper option for those who can't afford a Moflin. What worries me when the company no longer supports Cupboo, will it be possible to replace the batterie yourself and if so will it be an easy job?

Is that buying direct from the company? I think I paid £189 in total for mine (including an extra coat) but the company said that was cheaper than what they would be eventually because it just came in a plain box & they are still developing new features.

Omg yeah.. I paid 60 dollars shipping for mine 😭 I got an extra fur and a bed and everything was $350 usd in total. It was expensive but I think it will be worth it with the updates that will come
