I have to respectfully disagree on this one, I'm drinking my Apothic Red Wine right now and I absolutely love it. I came across this video because I've been wondering what the secret is behind the awesome vanilla taste that has me hooked, and having tried the Cupcake, I still like Apothic better. I wonder if it really is opinions or if I'm just not a connoisseur yet... lol

Katy Reign: I'm with you on this one -- the Apothic Red has a lot of character, and a strong alcohol element that reminds me of spirits like whiskey. It has a very dominating character. But they can keep that Cupcake swill. A perfect name for a soft, non-assertive beverage. Bottoms up!

Me four. I love the AR, I'm drinking it as I watch this too, and maybe it's because I'm having it with salty Indian food (I pair that with every red wine, it's just my thing, don't bitch--slap me), but it's ringing as sweet to me. I like that it's very aromatic, but then I'm a sniffer by nature (ehem, ask the ladies), and I LOVE the aftertaste, I don't get why my boy Dayum was so put off by it. I haven't tried the cupcake red velvet, I guess the name made me not take it seriously. Anyway, glad I'm not alone. Thanks for reading, y'all are my people. PS: But seriously, try it with Indian food, any will do, but I prefer vindaloo, or chana masala. Take a sip, let it gently slide down your throat, and before it's all gone take a bite. Then with the bite still in your mouth, do another smell-check. Oh, baby.

Honestly, I think that anyone who assumes any wine is “bad or good” has the wrong idea. In all things, wine included, everyone has their own preferences. I, for one, liked Apothic Red much better than Cupcake Red; the latter was both too sweet and too bitter at the same time, essentially starting a civil war in my mouth, each taste fighting to dominate the other. Also, the tannins made me feel like I was pouring rubbing alcohol on my tongue. Still not the worst wine my taste buds have experienced though. 😝😝

Cool video lol sippin on apothic red as a total newbie right now and I definitely agree on the strong vanilla note and bitter finish, but still pretty damn good for $10.99, 6/10 for me given price point, for the price though it is hard to find a better wine

Apothic red, dark and inferno are great wines under 20 bucks CAD. I have just tried the coffee infused one which wasn't bad, but I'm not a fan or their white or crush.

I don't like all Apothic wines, some taste like their price, but the Apothic cold brew coffee I think is great, you can taste the coffee and some vanilla that stays pleasantly on your palate. Great for Florida's summers. You can find it from $11 and change at Walmart to up to $16 at Publix.

I’m so glad I watched this! I’m new wine and lived in North country New York and we had winery’s everywhere! I fell in love with a local wine called coyote moon fireboat red. Tastes like Concord grape juice. I havnt found anything like it yet. I keep trying sweet reds and can’t find anything like it. Everything is too dry and bitter.

I really enjoyed this review it was so funny because the white man had a way different taste buds than the black man the black man definitely enjoys his sweets and sugars way more in his red wine while the white man prefers a darker more robust red wine right now I just bought the cupcake red velvet because it was on sale for $7 but I swear that review literally made me chuckle also the look while rating the wines on the white man's face it was just wow he was like damn he's giving the red velvet 7 oh my God LOL
