If you don't want those annoying flying flower things, parry the pink seeds that are falling. Those seeds make those flower things.

I recommend you most likely PARRY the pink seed when it becomes in some sort of projectile shooting seeds up to the air. The pink seed is the pumpkin-bomber, or also known as.. *the annoying flying thing* .

extra tip: when the seeds are going down, the is a red/pink one. that one has that annoying flying flower which more times than not will get you to lose an HP when you jump. to solve this, try and parry it.

I take the sugar charm on this fight to deal with the pink seed. if you parry it then you never get that annoying floating flower at the top. makes the fight way easier.

The fight is a lot more manageable if you're able to parry the pink seed's, it stops the floater from coming out. If you can get to the final phase without any floaters, the final phase is easy.

One dash is the exact distance from one platform to another. You can just move between platforms with dashing, especially with smoke bomb

How to beat Cagney Carnation in Cuphead. At the first phase, when he shoots his head far across the bottom or top of the screen, Jump up to the floating platforms if it comes from the bottom, or fall through the platforms if it shoots at the top! Be careful when he shoots his seeds in the & if your on a platform, Don't move! If he shoots the acorn missles, jump or fall off the platforms. Or if he shoots a boomerang flower, Jump over it if it comes toward you! But if it comes from behind, watch out! On the last phase, he goes insane! Watch out for the areas where his roots may jump onto the platforms! Stay in the safe spot! But if he shoots out seeds off his tongue, jump over them, or parry the pink ones.

This is my guide to beating it also (no hate to the creator his ideas are very good) I would honestly recommend using bommerang or chaser for this boss fight because you have to dodge things alot. Please try to Parry the pink seeds, trust me, they will ruin your run if you dont. For the second phase try saving for a super,(if you have one), it is not really necessary to parry the pink flowers but its optional if you want to. For his boomerang attack i would recommend going at the bottom of the map and then ascending, or you can jump and dash over the boomerang if you want. I would also recommend using your less stronger super everytime you get the chance, just to make the process quicker.

A trick that worked for me since I kept taking damage from the flying flower is parrying the pink seed when Cagney spits the seeds out. The pink seed will turn into the flying flower.

Before I watched the video: You'll want parry sugar equiped Roundabout or the multi-shot are very useful You'll need parry sugar for that parriable seed that comes out because thats what turns into the devastating walnut Multi-shot and roundabout can easy take care of the sprouted monsters

took me half an hour to figure out decent pc controls (default option was awful, especially having arrow keys instead of WASD) and I just defeated the carrot boss. All I will say is if we could keybind our mouse to I’m and left click to shoot, my laptop’s screen wouldn’t be cracked (joking of course, haven’t hit anything since gorilla tag on vr)
