That’s the secret phase(sort of an Easter egg) in cuphead. You need to upgrade your game to the latest version to have it.

Any of the Contra games are harder to an extent than Cuphead. For one, Contra restricts you to a life system unlike Cuphead, where you lose all your lives & it’s back to the whole game for you. Cuphead is ball-bustingly hard, but somewhat fair if the game is fair to YOU.
