Wow! This was an incredibly intense and exciting crossover boss battle! You did a great job with the animation, music, and audio. Choo-Choo Charles's 2D design turned out very well. Cuphead's moves were smooth and really felt like something from the game too. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to play this as a gamer. It actually could be kinda easy to do as most of the animations are repeated. All he had to do was make the animations (he could have also used tweening as a faster method) and place them on the stage and move him around and stuff. So yeah thats the reason why it took him only a week I guess

Really love how you make the fights fit in their respective Universes "At least when it comes to Cuphead and Sonic" It's really enjoyable to see fights like this play out in a way that FEELS like it could be a legitimate fight in the actual Game. May I ask what happened to Choo Choo Charles at the 3rd Phase of the fight? Did he absorb some Nightmare Energy or something? If he did that's really awesome lol, He became WAY more menacing after that point in the fight. All for it to end extremely comedically, I burst out laughing at Choo Choo's death xD Amazing Animation man! o/ Edit: Thanks for the info in the replies! Also, canonically Choo Choo Charles died when the bridge he was on blew up and he fell off the bridge into a giant spike. Moro couldn't do that because cartoon and Cuphead randomly showed up, so he made Charles fall off the bridge and blow up.

@@poketube28 I suppose if frightened enough, he could do the old cartoon trick of just vanishing in a puff of smoke (shaped like him) as he runs off. But in the game, when he's fighting the Phantom Express, he does require a handcar to keep up with it (with parry-capable brakes to adjust the speed) and have something to stand on so he doesn't get run over or get knocked out by faceplanting into the earth (using the game's internal logic of falling off the platforms causes injuries). Still, his ability to respawn without needing a train engine as a spawnpoint could throw Charles for a loop-de-loop, combined with Cuphead's greater durability than the protagonist of Choo Choo Charles (who is insta-killed anytime he's outside of his train engine; whereas Cuphead can take 3 hits from anybody before perishing, including powerful entities such as Djimmi the Great, Hilda Berg, Cala Maria, Grim Matchstick the Dragon, Glumstone the Giant, King Dice plus his Court, and of course THE DEVIL HIMSELF).

I've noticed that in the first and second phase of the fight, Charles has the 1930's cartoon style eyes. However, in the final phase he completely drops the facade and looks more like his in-game Hell appearance.

I really gotta ask.. and this is a deep question: When you draw, create, and.. I really don’t know how to put this; “Come up” with your animations.. how does it usually go? Like, how do you get from nothing.. to something as intricate and complex as this? Usually, I just.. get stuck. Maybe it’s the food I eat not giving me energy, or.. the lack in my own confidence due to my empathy knocking me back down with impulses of wrong choices and fear of making my own decisions. I want to ask, what do you do every day? Do you eat lots of nutritional foods and exercise? Is there anything specific you tell yourself or convince yourself in your mind that helps you stay focused? I’m determined, that won’t ever leave me. But other than that.. making the choice and stepping forward is where I break. With time, I’ll improve into my own stylings and creativity.. but how do I accept today? It’s a hard question to answer.. maybe I’m just bs’ing myself. I just doubt doubts.. and then doubt that. So.. if there’s any experiences anyone here has had that answers this block I’m seeing, I’d appreciate you telling me your tales so I could learn from your wisdom’s.

A simple chat with a friend or fantasizing about a hypothetical situation could lead to a whole new world of ideas. You just need to believe in what you do too. I like how this one gives off a good relation to The Phantom Express Boss fight (If anyone remembers that one) So i guess to add there's 2 bosses involving train scenarios. Edit: i took a look through it a couple times and spotted a few points that closely relate towards the game (Choo-Choo Charles) We know you only get 4 weapons in the game and that same mechanic of swapping weapons when your current one overheads is neat as it also applies to Cuphead having to swap weapon types during the battle, but when i look at the Peashooter & Charge Shot, it gives me vibes of the Derailer and Rocket Launcher. I'm unsure if there are other ways to kill Charles, given that Cuphead is only able to stagger him but seems to ignore the pain. Especially during the last phase. I don't know if this one makes clear sense but from when Charles comes in from the horizon to attack, it has that feeling of the same way he attacks the player, you hear him in the distance and from too much movement, he charges at you.
