Not a fan of Suv/crossover stuff, but I would not say no to one in FR or Cupra spec. So would you go for DS7 or Cupra? Nice review as always!
@NobbyOnCars5 жыл бұрын
The DS has some nice bits, the headlights, the interior etc but for out and out performance.. you'd have to consider the Cupra!

seen one of these if not this actual car outside Harvey Norman in Naas earlier this week. Took me a 2nd with the badge to figure out what it was, thought it was just the owner changing the Seat badge himself until I walked around the back and saw the CUPRA across the back. 50k though ...

Love your reviews mate. Three months into golf r ownership so all good fun. I’ve done the usual jb4, custom map and res delete courtesy of Shak and I’d be interested to see how the Seat would handle the same mods. I’ve watched all your vids, properly genuine bloke, power to your elbow 👌

I've got one and.....it leaves me cold. Nigh on zero driver involvement thanks to the plethora of tech. I've had it since end of January, been on a 2000 miles road trip to Denmark and back, which involved Germany, done return trips from Manchester to Surrey, weekend groceries, pretty much every chance for the car to shine, yet I'll be swapping it for a 4 year old Lotus Exige as soon as I can. My advice would be to either see if you can get your mitts on a SEAT Leon ST Cupra R with the abt tuning or get a VW Golf R estate. Both are cheaper, just as practical, just as fast, but more agile and they will put a smile on your face when the opportunity presents itself rather than, in my case, meh (I believe youths exclaim). Nice vid Nobby and I agree as an owner with 99% of your observations

Hard to beat the Golf R and then if you add the estate option... what more do you need. Will you sell privately or what will you do with her?

@@NobbyOnCars Perfect example of why it leaves me cold: I haven't even given it a gender.....Another thing, I specced it to the gills & only left out the bucket seats, bringing the total price to UKP £43,000. That's a lot for a car where you first have to explain what it is and then suffer the retort, why didn't you just buy a Golf R estate ? It's on finance with VW so the moment I'm in positive equity, I hand it back, head to the dealer who has the Exige & get that out on finance instead. All the best from Manchester, Nobby.

The fake brand doesn't fool many/any and the logo is awfully tacky, would of preferred if they carried on with the SEAT branding to be honest, just like VW with the Golf "R".
@NobbyOnCars4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you're not wrong. Be proud of the SEAT badge and about the performance side of things. Who knows why!
