Nice car, but I couldn't buy this car simply because of the misaligned rear wiper, my OCD in me would need to try align the rear wiper every time I walk past it

Good review, thanks. This week we ordered the Max version. And with €29.000 (€26.000 after subsidies in the Netherland) the first affordable EV for us, with a useable range. We were looking for an EV with LFP batteries, and it is a bonus that it is a 1390kg "lightweight" and build in Europe. Will be delivered in September/Oktober (ish).

Great little car. This petrol version would be a great alternative choice for anyone who, for whatever reason, doesn’t want the EV version. The fact that it has a manual gearbox is great. The Satnav guy is a bit scary!

It will indeed be a great buy as secondhand. Those LFP batteries have a great livespan. With 5.000 to 10.000 charge cycles, so easy 500.000+ mls without a problem.

Looks like a fair enough attempt at what its trying to be.....On the downside it's another cog in the gears to make Citroen a generic Chinese brand. Cant say I'm in love with the new Logo, it dates back to 1910 and looks it, but it's just one piece to make instead of two....right? Give me the classy iconic standalone double chevron any day. With AI....Maybe we could have past celebrities talking to us in Sat Nav, Vincent Price, Marilyn Monroe, or even Tiny Tim dodging Tulips.

We are getting the EV5 that also has voice integration, which seems to work similar to most new Chinese EV quite well. Love how you can say something like "i am cold," and it will put the seat heater on and car heating. In our market even the EV9 does not get that voice control!

Lightness is key for efficiency in my opinion. After the BMW i3, it has been a long while since there has been a truly light EV with a decent sized battery. Good enough. Will be cheap to run. I like the looks and cabin. This is more exciting than yet another 2+ tonne SUV EV!

Drove my first EV yesterday, a friend’s model 3. Absolutely hated it. What a soulless driving experience. Yes it’s fast, but it’s goddamn boring. Was behind the wheel for half an hour and just couldn’t see what the fuss was about. Was happy to get back into my petrol hatchback with a manual gearbox that I can “drive”, unlike the glorified “dodgem” car that was the Tesla. As for my mate, he was trying to convince me to move to an EV but all he did was convince me that they just are not for me.

Good review as always. Stellantis are doing a clever bit of hedging with these multi fuel platfors. They could make a better bespoke EV but they can make one platform fit different choices and different markets.

@NobbyOnCars I am old enough to remember when it was Japanese cars that were going to destroy established European firms, then it was Korean cars. They've taken some market share but most of the brands are still here, apart from the British ones!

I drive a Peugeot e208 which is a great second car but list price is £35k (ridiculous). I’m leasing it. I’d definitely consider the e-C3 next, but I wouldn’t really want less range. If they can match the e208 then I might get one but as it stands, real world range is a bit too small.

Have watched both your independent reviews, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It’s great to see you discuss it again together. It’s interesting to hear the process involved in bringing a particular model of car into the worldwide market. This model of Kia should do well in Ireland. It’s got a lot going for it and it should attract the younger end of the market. Thanks again to both of you for all that you do! I did make a comment on Nobby’s video about no rear wiper. I must have blinked (blunked?!) at that part. I have to admit that it’s a clever design idea to put it under the rear spoiler! So, apologies again Nobby!

@@NobbyOnCars Surely the purpose of posting a review of a car is to disseminate information to viewers of the video, and if someone isn't in a position to communicate effectively yet, they should wait until they can do so. Very sad that someone has had to go through a cancer ordeal, and hope things get better, but a lot of the information the video was trying to share was lost.

How's the regen? Is there one pedal driving? That's important when considering an EV convenience.

According to other reviews, it is close to one pedal driving. Standard it is set on very high regenerative braking. The C in de drive selector stands for "comfort", and that will minimize the regen.

Really dull looking car. having own bucket style seats they are just not practical or comfortable in this type of car. Infotainment systems looks child like and the plastics look so cheap and nasty. Massive pass on this.

Just watched Derek’s from NEVO review on this car. Really hard to find fault with this (not that I was looking for any!). This could be the benchmark for the entry level EV market. It looks great and it’s been designed really well.

I wouldn’t consider owning an EV environmentally friendly because of the metals used to produce a battery. This is due to the significant amount of energy required for the procurement of raw materials and the manufacturing process itself.

Thanks Nobby. Great review. I'm on my second Niro EV and love it. The EV3's range is the only thing that would temp me to buy one. Looking forward to getting your driving review of the car. My local dealer says that it will be October before they get one.
