Your review videos are really good; Coherent and comparable through all reviews. Good pace and calm presentation. And most importantly; Most of key parametrics. I suggest you review the boot space in liters and usability and rear cabin space (by sitting behind the drives seat with your settings). Gl and keep 'em coming!

Nice straightforward review 😁. I've had a 58kwh Cupra Born (not e-boost) for 18 months (in the UK) - averaged 3.8 miles per kilowatt over a full year. Varies dramatically with the weather, from ~3 m/kwh in the winter to ~4.2 now as we approach summer 😂. Sorry, not sure how this translates to kilometres. It is a very nice car to own and drive. But, I will say EVs are not for everyone 😂.
@ItsOnlyElectric8 ай бұрын
3,8 equals to 16.4kWh/100km.
@louishiggins88818 ай бұрын
@ItsOnlyElectric Thanks 😁. Still think miles or kilometres per kilowatt is a better way to report consumption, though 😂.

I drive my bord in range most of the time, its range or cupra, i dont use any of the others. Range is good as its not sensitive on the throttle, when youre just driving normally. The throttle in range mode is dialed in well. Then if i want to overtake, or entre some nice roads ill chamge to cupra mode.

Exactly, at least when it comes to the EV lineup. I prefer the Enyaq over the ID4 and the Cupra over the ID3.
@janoleolsen24 күн бұрын
Rented this at Hertz with 16000 km milage. The car has one possible BIG negative side. There is no battery preconditioning, so in fall/spring and winter - the DC charging speed is typically 30-40kW ! Unlike Tesla which has the same price tag and more range, and no such temperature issues doing 170-250kW. I've tested this at +4c and -8c. Same low speed. However, when I arrived at a charger with 2% battery level, it made an unusual peak charge speed of 90kW, and stayed above 40kW much of the time. Reading online that iD7 will have battery preconditioning :-). In all cases, I had driven 2-3 hours before charging, so battery should have been fairly warm. The one "fast" case I had, was after just a 30 minute drive and with 30 minute rest before driving - and it was at approx -10c. So I would only recommend EV with battery preconditioning, if you ever plan exceed the car's range on any drive, and thus needing DC fast charging in fall or spring. Actual range was 59% of stated WLTP range in winter in my situation. Which is normal for most EVs.
@ItsOnlyElectric24 күн бұрын
Thank you for pointing that out. It's one of the single most important aspects of an EV, to have preconditioning.
@StephenButlerOne9 күн бұрын
Any born made after June 2004, now has pre-conditioning. And it makes a huge difference

I had loads of problems with AC and DC charging rates on mine. They have a battery safe guarding “feature “ which impacts 75/80% of overnight charging giving about the same as a granny charge of a normal wall socket (3.5kwh). DC never hit web site statements!
@ItsOnlyElectric9 ай бұрын
That's sad. I have an ID3 with stable ac and DC charging. DC only stable during summer

@@ItsOnlyElectric Did/Do you have problems with DC charge speed? I tried everything including warm car on warm day at FastNed 350 and couldn’t get it to peak at the rate it would need to average to achieve the stated 5-80% in 35 minutes. My experience was 50-55mins which is way too long given range you get off 75% of a 58kwh battery

@@ItsOnlyElectric That’s the one where most of the range benefit is negated by the weight gain isn’t it?

No, it's as efficient as the 58 pack despite being heavier. Weight isn't the problem for EVs, aero is.

I much prefer the look of the cupra born to the id3, but are they planning on doing a performance version? one that appeals to those that would go for the cupra r, golf r or audi s3 and the like. seems like they're missing a trick if they don't do a hyper hatch version because there's loads of golf r's about so surely there's a market.
@ItsOnlyElectric8 ай бұрын
Yes, exactly that is coming. It's called Cupra VZ and released after this summer. 326hp, 545Nm of torque, RWD, bigger battery, cooler exterior etc..

Hello 👋🏽 is the Born getting the new electric engine and infotainment screen and software as for the ID line up at some point? I’m also surprised that the gear selector is still on the instrument cluster, which makes me think the screen is still the small one I’m not so into Cupra as a brand, so I’m not aware of the updates to be honest But as always, thanks for the review 🙌🏼
