I teach you how to read your temp tower correctly and how to use Cura infill patterns for the best internal support structure.
In this 3 part series, I will teach about each Cura setting and show you test prints that show exactly how each setting affects your prints. There's a lot to learn when using a 3D slicer like Cura, so I am breaking down all the main settings that I believe you should pay attention to.
In this video, I go over how important it is to print at the correct temperature and how to do it. I also talk about all the different types of infill patterns Cura offers while actually showing you what they look like 3D printed. I cover some of the advantages and disadvantages of the infill types and how to select the right infill for the models you are 3D printing.
I printed all my test prints on my Ender 3 Pro 3D printer. However, by the end of this tutorial series, you will have an understanding of how each setting works and how to adjust them to get the best 3D prints.
Here is the Temp Tower I used in the video to test out the new filament:

First of all.. great great great vids! Keep up the good work. Although it was extremely interesting to see how all the infills actually look like, seeing exactly what's going on on the inside of the print and on top the fact, that you provided the information how weak or strong the prints will get when chosing the specific infill method, it would have been great if you could have also added the information how much of a difference your choice would make when it comes to print times. I know know.. slicing every different Option would help to get a better understanding but in this case your video would get 11 stars instead of the 10 it already got 🤗 Just subscribed to your chanel and really looking forward to stuff like this.

Thanks so much I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Also thanks for the input. I may do another video in the future explaining how to get faster print times and what settings effects time when printing. There was so much to cover in this video I was trying to keep it as short and to the point as possible. But, I appreciate the feedback! Thats how I'll get better.

Having issues with the accuracy making parts to be assembled. Do you recommend to print outer wall first on one part and inner wall first on the other part to not have to dimension big measurement tolerance for fit?

Hello, in Cura 5.1, the “Infill Density” box is greyed out and is set at 25% and it won’t let me change it. Any ideas as to why this may be? Thanks!

Hi ! I would like to slice a part in Cura that would be 100% infill to start, and after lets say level 80, change the infill for 30 %... Is it feasible in Cura 5.2.1 ? Thank you !

Hi Chris, do you need infill for making a helmet? Or could that be replaced by supports?
@ItsMeaDMaDe
@ItsMeaDMaDe Жыл бұрын
Hey! The helmets I’ve printed I still use a infill for it makes them stronger.

Gyroid 99% of the time, but I do like the lightning option on certain low strength prints.

I'm right there with you! Lightning is a cool one and i've started using it here and there. But yeah Gyroid is where its at!

On my temp tower why is my numbers so ineligible? What should I be trying to look into to correct this?
@ItsMeaDMaDe
@ItsMeaDMaDe Жыл бұрын
Could be a hot end issue or maybe a bad roll of filament. Might want to find a different temp tower test also. Maybe the file isn’t working with your printer.

If you are printing 2 same identical parts, lightning is different in each one. I set it at 30% at 15% it was too flimsy.

Good to know. Like I said in the video I’ve used it a few times and it worked pretty well but I’m pretty set in my ways with gyroid. 😅

You want he gcode not the STL for the temp tower download. Gcode is ready to go.

Yeah probably should of said that but the link I give has the gcode and explains how to print and what to print. Should probably do a separate video just on how to print a temp tower.
