It is a shame that Jose Cura does not concentrate more on traditional songs such as these-rather than opera. He has a wonderful voice, talent, fluidity, and interpretive abilities for these simpler songs that he sings naturally, with great ease and beautifully from the heart, taking as much joy in singing them as I do in hearing them.

Beautiful....just beautiful. This guy is an awesome opera singer and vocalist. The contestants on American Idol have NOTHING on this guy.

Thanks so much for putting.this on You tube. I really enjoyed it ....By the way didn't you have Cura singing CARUSO? I love it and can't find it anywhere. and didn't you also have Nessun Dorma from Torino concert? There are others of course but...it was my favorite..:) Now that our wonderful Pavarotti is gone.......One of my those perfect moments in life..was to be at Pavarotti's concert in Orlando,Fl....I made sure I had a perfect seat...Go big or go home..:) .

Many operatic singers are total&grandiose flops when attempting to sing these traditional songs that Cura does so well. Conversely Cura will never find his place in the upper echelons of opera-but by squandering so much of his time and talent there, he deprives us of more of this beautiful music.
