This rally was BY FAR my greatest automotive memory so far. Or ever, I don't see what could top this to be honest. Thank you so much guys for making the LM002 ready for the rally !

The copper lowbody with Bravo wheels is THE Countach. Only about 50 were made between 1978-79. I should know. I owned one 11 years ago, with the tiny gauges making it one of the first 25 cars

100% agree
@L8-APEX3 жыл бұрын
That's my absolute favorite out of them all as well. Something about it just gives the car so much more presence than the others.
@stanleymasterson11353 жыл бұрын
@@L8-APEX Easy to explain. That lowbody model still had the cars original proportions and stance, which could never be improved upon. Add to that the Bravo wheels, which were easily the best looking, and you have the best looking of all Countachs. Only 50 were ever made like that and only the first 25 had the tiny dash gauges. On the other hand, the 25th anniversary model shows exactly why the design should have never been touched. It's HORRIBLE looking... stupid actually, with all of that tacked on bodywork crap. Horacio Pagani should never have been allowed to touch it

Thank you so much, again, for inviting me to the rally, John and Nandina. Had the best time hanging out the roof of John's LM002 EVO with a GoPro strapped to my forehead and then in Stewart's Lowbody LP400S for the second stint to Monterey. Plenty of pictures to come your way!

John, an amazing video, I love your channel, I am 48 years old and I have been a Countach fan since I was 10. My mother always used to say (often in Italian) "if you only knew as much about your school work as you did the Countach, you'd be a straight A student!" The first time I saw photos of the Countach it was a like a revelation. You said the Countach was more than just a car, that is so true. In the late 70's and 1980's being a first generation Australian from Italian parents I copped a lot of teasing for my Italian heritage and I'd often downplay it so I wouldn't get teased..but the Countach changed that. In grade 4, our class did a project on cars and one student brought in photos of a low body red Countach from a magazine, the whole class gasped in awe at this car (for me it was like the second coming!)..I then discovered the the Countach was made by a company called Lamborghini..an Italian company..and then found out Ferrari was the same!..but it was all about the Countach..and from being somewhat ashamed of my Italian heritage, a switch flicked and I became super proud of my heritage! The car had a profound affect on my life that even my parents still don't really understand to this day.
