I always thought that the shrouded ejector rod DS's were the 3rd issue? Though there were some small changes I've heared that one could consider about 4 or 5 issues.

We the old Detective Specials! Especially the 1st issue round butt. Very cool beautiful guns. I'd take a 2nd or 3rd issue as well gladly, byt those first issues with half moon sight and short ejector rod is very cool.
