Lewis Richard was a hack of a comic. He leeched off others, like Larry. If he didn't know Larry, he'd be an unknown comic.

@@thomasdemoor874 that's Larry David's friend from childhood. He got to have his friend on his show with him. Is that a leech? Larry is probably a billionaire. Who gives a guck. He didn't detract from the show, so who cares. Your comment is very Twitter
@thomasdemoor8742 ай бұрын
@@BGraves None of what you said disputes the fact that Richard just wasn't as good a comic writer as Larry. If he hadn't met Larry, this comment wouldn't even exist. He's that terrible and forgettable.

I remember people pointed out how odd this scene was. Lots of super quick cuts. Just one liners back and forth without much dialogue in between the quick cuts. Richard not moving much or doing anything. Yeah, it's obvious now - Richard was in rough shape but wanted to spend his last days with his friends making comedy and making people laugh.
@a4andrei5 ай бұрын
I think that's a bit much... It's edited to emphasize the back and forth between them, you see this in a lot of shows and movies, and I've seen it in older episodes of Curb. That said, Richard does look more frail than usual, he always looked frail but here he's especially frail. The fact that he had Parkinson's certainly didn't help. Also he died of a heart attack at 76, which is pretty common for men that age. With that said, he was one of the highlights in every scene he was in, may he RIP.

I played quite a bit of golf in my day but I only saw 2 guys get hit by a ball and one was me. At Cog Hill in Chicago there is a Par 3 where when you come off the green on the way to the next hole the players on the tee are blocked by trees. As we were rolling up the hill I got hit in the cat. When the player rolled up to apologize I decided to let it pass since the guy was a one arm golfer. The 2nd time was one of my buddies his a pull hook screamer that never got 5 feet off the ground and hit a player coming down the rough on the next hole. He went down like he was shot and my buddy humped in his cart and raced to see if he was ok. I played the hole alone and met my buddy on the next tee like 15 mins later. I said what took so long is that guy ok? He said when he got there the guy said - this is not my week. 2 days ago my partner died in a plane crash and today I get hit by a golf ball for the first time. He said the guy was kind of in shock I couldn’t just leave him.
