Actually, from a legal standpoint the ending though funny isn’t correct. They might have been thinking of “double jeopardy “ but as Larry was found “guilty” jeopardy wouldn’t apply. In a “high profile” case, Larry undoubtedly would be retried. I think there should be a reunion of Curb on another show to set the record straight.

The verdict would have been vacated and while he could be prosecuted again then the prosecution authorities would have to start over from the start, and high profile or not I'm not sure policy would permit them seeking to prosecute under an unpopular law. Even if they did decide to prosecute David would have very good arguments for motions to dismiss given how prejudiced the jury pool is and that he couldn't expect a fair trial so I doubt he'd ever see the inside of a cell in any scenario, not least given his age and no history of violent offending...and being enormously wealthy which counts for a lot in the USA.

There is actually a lesson here (although probably not learned) - the Seinfeld gang went to jail (and stayed) for failing to help someone in need; Larry went to jail for helping someone in need, so he got out.

Honestly, I didn't mind the main characters going to jail. They were terrible people. Larry has his flaws, but most times, he's misunderstood or gets flack that isn't his fault.

It was actually a nice touch to have all those characters who - maybe even rightfully - felt slighted by David in the past seasons side with the side of what could reasonably be considered injustice out of sheer spite and pettyness. A very "Curb" way to go about it.

I didn’t mind that Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer ended up in jail. It was such a crazy outcome and so different from the usual tear jerk wanting, story bow wrapping finales that came before. Very few finales were original. Going to jail is original.

Jerry and Larry are burned into my brain.. a la Seinfeld and Curb. The slightest semblance of a moment in my life that remotely relates to anything Seinfeld.. It instantly comes to the fore of my brain.. and relating my thoughts to others who also know Seinfeld is always a good laugh, a shared experience, even with total strangers, a great opportunity to relive all them hilarious moments of the show. Thanks Jerry and Larry, and all who contributed to the two GREAT GREAT shows. PS.now that's as cordial as I'm gonna get...

In one the scenes Valentin is in custody. The warden comes and tells him he's free to go. The reaction is a skeptical: "Why?!"

I expected this to mirror the Seinfeld finale (with a twist) the moment I saw the title. Actually, from the very moment it became apparent that the final season would revolve around Larry standing trial, the episode title solidified it. I'm glad they didn't "learn a lesson" from the blowback back then, both finales - are in their own way - perfect.

And before that moment he is laying peacefully at rest. It really is all perfect. This is the best finale for a comedy I’ve ever seen. It also retroactively makes the Seinfeld finale even better because without that we would never get this. It perfectly ties both shows together in the end of both of their runs, for two shows all about a bunch of storylines perfectly tying together in the last scene, and creates a punchline to the Seinfeld finale 25 years in the making. How can you top that?

Well that was a great ending. At the start of the season, I had a feeling Larry was gonna end it like the Seinfeld finale. This was a pleasant surprise. Like 'most' Seinfeld fans, I didn't like that finale. Yeah, there are those who say it was a fitting ending because they deserved it, but the show changed a lot in the last few seasons. Imagine that ending happening after the 4th or 5th season and the 'amusia' becomes clear. Thanks, Larry. Good job.

Great ending. By coincidence I’m on the final episodes of Seinfeld as I got Netflix specifically to watch all of it. (in the UK). I love all the great extra characters returning at the end. Loved the inclusion of Richard Lewis as he was not well but that’s what life is. Larry David is a v nice guy really, apart from being super super smart.

Fantastic ending for Curb Your Enthusiasm! After every mishap Larry's suffered over the course of 24 years, the show sets us up for a downer ending, including a book-end with the "Pants Tent" thing that opened the very first episode, only to throw in a surprise twist, and the show ends on a high note that he really needed. RIP Bob Einstein and Richard Lewis Thanks for the many years of laughter!

I love how he teases the whole thing by calling the episode “no lesson learned” and then he flips it right at the last second. In the end he really did learn his lesson. I bet nobody expected that, but we were kind of fine with the idea of him redoing the Seinfeld finale out of spite. In reality, what he really did out of spite was to give people what they wanted for a long time. What a remarkable author and what an incredible show.
