This is especially true as the clip ends as Larry does not tell Bryan he is fired or will no longer be his therapist. Instead, Larry gives Bryan the option to release him as a patient. This is COMPLETE narcissism on Larry's part, to a three-dimensional chess degree.

As a therapist myself, frankly I think that Larry has a point with the chairs. Starting out in independent practice, when I first had to furnish an office with my own chairs, I obsessed a bit on the issue because I wanted a really comfortable chair, but didn't feel comfortable spending what it would cost to get two chairs of the quality I wanted- but nevertheless was a bit neurotic about 'chair parity, and wasn't willing to skimp on the patient's chair. Ended up with two very nice chairs of the same manufacture and 'level,' but got a substantial discount on a slightly style-mismatched set. Then I figured, hell, I'll be the one sitting in there all day, so I chose the just-slightly more comfortable one. Generally patients absolutely loved their chair, but a couple of them did complain, though like Larry, they complained about just about everything. He's totally doesn't get truffles though. Amusingly enough, my step-daughter, who doesn't like truffles either, complained that they smell to her like smelly locker sneakers. But that's the point- sublimely-flavored smelly locker sneakers is what we're talking about here. After the chairs.

I don't agree, actually. I think it's just him both being honest about how the therapy isn't all that important to him in classic LD fashion, and also sparing the doctor any undue annoyance, as Larry is self-aware enough to know that he's not exactly a standard patient, he doesn't really "need" help, and he's also aware that he's somewhat grating personality-wise, at least to many people. He may be a bit indifferent perhaps, but I don't think this is passive aggressive, I think it's just Larry David being Larry David.

What, am I seeing Sinatra in there? Am I being entertained? I don't understand this. I'm only paying half. And therapists are even more useless than regular doctors .No wonder all therapists in CYE are completely useless pricks . Talk to your therapist about your ass tulip. It's when your rectum protrudes out revealing the pink inner fleshy texture. It happened to my friend after giving birth and it really bothered her walking around with an anus dangling about like testicles. Doctors and social workers didn't want to talk about it with her they just said "it will pass" and referred her to other specialists.

I love Bryan Cranston and he plays this role very well, as always. Having said that, to me it did seem little weird that to see to him play a character instead of himself on this show, especially since he was on Seinfeld. I am aware that other actors have played roles on both Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, but what makes Bryan Cranston stand out is that he's become super famous since Seinfeld. In a show that acknowledges celebrities, I feel like it would have made more sense to see him play himself. All that aside, I enjoyed this episode of Curb very much and Bryan was awesome in it.
