Wow Curic is such a deep man. I wonder where he came from and also I'm from North Viet Nam but I'm lucky my city is still 80% safe but the whole province is not so much. Most of the others was either flooded or flash flooded, villages got earased. Rice fields are gone, man.

I was definitely also thinking this reminded me of the old floor generator tool (which I still have) and then you said it yourself. Hilarious. This seems like a more modern version and stable version on it. I could have used this about a month ago with an irregular shaped tile. I ended up doing it in PBR materials to fake it.

Lol - I get more requests for that plugin, even though it's no longer around. Now I can reference people to this one! :)

Hello Justin thanks for the tutorial. Great plugin ! Quick question : I tried it on a curved surface and it picked a face on that surface rather than the entire surface. Do you know how to create a curved surface with only one face. I am stumped ! Thanks

This is awesome. Thanks for posting. Two questions: 1) How do you create a grout surface between the tiles when you define an offset? I see the offset gap, but what's the trick to creating a surface in the gap I can color and adjust to depth? Do I create a separate base from the array and then intersect it with the tile array somehow? 2) This tool works for linear , but what would you recommend to create a circular floor tile array? I have a church project with a slate tile floor with different sized rows and different sized tiles circling around around a large round center point tile where the alter sits. I assumed I'll have to cheat and manually create a long wedge-shaped "column" of all the different sized tiles and somehow wrap that around the center? Otherwise I'd be arraying row after row after row around each previous circle of tile.... Not sure about the offsetting though.... TIA.

This plug in doesn't have Ramdom function so I think you'll need some extra work on that

As far as the grout goes I would just push/pull the original surface up to tile level(or just below) and color it as I needed to. Or, like graphic design repeat patterns, model the grout so it repeats correctly too. Left side of brick and top of brick. If the "brick" is 2 components, brick and mortar it will be easy to change either one.

If I wanted more control over the gap, I'd just create multiple copies of the object with the gap as I wanted, then array the whole "assembly" as components so I could adjust if necessary. As to circular, you'd probably want to create the array manually then use something like Curic Face Knife to cut it Thanks!

Hi! Does this plugin work on SketchUp 2024 for Mac ?
@ApakmanMarquez3 ай бұрын
Cool plugin! I will consider buying it. Question: is there a way to quickly count the objects in the array, which would be very useful for estimating tile quantities?
@Thesketchupessentials3 ай бұрын
Not that I know of, and it's free, so you shouldn't have to buy anything
@dpgedward5947Ай бұрын
Just select the array and look at entity Info for qty
