FANTASTIC....I saw the 3 separate videos but I must say this is a great idea to have all three videos together. I am going to buy the Mission Power cable because I have been having problems with the Firestick and I didn't know what was causing this (on Amazon UK they have a third-party Power Cable but I plumped for the one you recommended as I have seen some negative reviews of the third party one). I really do think this cable will do the job that I want. Do you not think that the Firestick should have more storage than what it has? Great Video....keep on doing what you are doing. Great video and information. If your TV only has a USB 2.0 port, will it still supply enough wattage to power a external hard drive and the Amazon Firestick 4K Max, since the USB power adapter that comes with it is rated at 15 watts?

Depends on the drive. A thumb drive, yes. But if you are trying to get a 2TB, do the method we shared in our recent video with the use of a Mission powered cable. It will boost and hold the power to the drive.

When the fire stick 4K MAX formats the 2 TB storage, for the device storage, the new app are still being download to the fire stick 4K internal storage, and not the device storage that the fire stick TV 4K is formatting. Did you try installing from aptoide? You might be selecting apps from the Amazon App Store that can't go to external. If you install the same apps from aptoide, they will

Do only certain apps transfer to the external drive? or can you store all your apps on the external drive so your firestick has only a couple apps on it? I currently am only able to save 3 or 4 apps to my external drive and everything else goes to my firestick. Am I doing something wrong? Great video and channel you have.

Only certain ones if you are installing from the amazon app store, but all if you install from aptoide. Do you have that app store installed? We have installers on patreon

We actually have some help videos for people that might have missed a step. Most issues are getting the wrong drive (we linked the correct one for you), or did not pre-charge the mission cable. Basic stuff. If you got the wrong drive, you may have to format it FAT32 separately, or replace is with the Seagate Slim One Touch

You use a 64Gb Thumbdrive in earlier examples. For the demonstration you use a 1Tb external drive. Is there a problem using a 1Tb thumbdrive? Do you recommend a specific 1Tb thumbdrive that performs better than others? How about mini-flashdrives?

You can use any size drive. But the larger thumb drives won't work well because of transfer rate. Stick with the ones we provided links to in the description section

It’s the lowest power draw 2TB and has worked perfect for us. I’ve tried over a dozen drives and none worked. Either this low power draw, the Toshiba one, or go down to a small thumb drive (64gb or smaller) otherwise it will fail to work

This setup doesn't seem to work for me., I ordered all the accessories you listed, even the USB hub. I have power to the firstick. But when I plug either the hard drive, or the hub to the other the firestick shuts off. When I restart it, it doesn't see the drive. I have ordered the 4K, I'm assuming my issue is because my firestick is only 3rd generation. Comments?

Yeah, like we mentioned in this video, the process is different for older sticks. This is for the 4k MAX only. That was the big upgrade for the Max was the ability to easily upgrade storage. We have a different older video on the process for your stick. You will need additional 3rd party apps to make it work, but still possible. Hopefully you didn't buy the 4k, you purchased the 4k max instead.

Use a power block to charge it 10 min before first use. Unless your usb is full power usb3 port

My 4kmax has always worked on my Sony Bravia. Did your 2T upgrade and Firestick was working. Recently I see; input - no signal error. I get the error no matter what any input. No error with a Roku stick. Weird - the FS remote still turns the TV on/off and mutes & adjusts volume. No lights on the remote, no voice. Any ideas on what the fix might be?

I returned the seagate linked on your video, received a new one and it still says it is corrupt. The mission cable is charged for 20 minutes. Also the link on your video doesn’t send to the one touch drive. It sends me to the seagate slim but not the one touch.

That's because the one-touch was sold out. You can still use that one, just have to format to fat32 on a computer first. Only takes a couple seconds

When you use explorer and transfer apps to usb unit and there is an update to any individual app you get error message "not enough space to update". At that point you need to uninstall the app and reinstall it and then transfer the app back the usb unit.

When the firestick stays on it recognizes the 2tb hard drive fine but it keeps turning off. It’s like it doesn’t have enough power to keep the firestick running. If I by pass the ITG adapter or both cord it works fine. It never turns off and on. I’ve tried different adapters and ITG cords. Please help

Sounds like the usb on your tv isn’t supplying enough power to sustain that drive. Did you get the one touch seagate? Smaller drives should work fine
