A first timer here. I really like your work. Mine is just as interesting I think, and I do have explanation's that are similar as well. I love using abstract to convey my feelings and thoughts. I am an American and I am now 72, living in a small village in France. I go in and out of inspiration, so paint whenever I want to. I had a showing last January and did quite well. Well, WELCOME Sue!!! I love what you said about your paintings conveying your feelings and thoughts. It takes time to get to that point to be able to do that, but when you figure it out, it shows in your work, I imagine. Congrats on your success in your show, I am so happy for you!!! I had eye surgery in November and while face now, I slept on my elbow wrong and deaden the nerve. My fingers are numb. So, they will cut the elbow and move the nerves around, or something like that!!! haha.

These are all soo Yummy! I especially love the second one you showed. It was super interesting when you pointed out that the grey layer in the background was the right touch for popping the contrasting black and whites that came after it. I did not know what that was for years until someone told me and it makes so much sense now why I feel things the way I do. Hi Cheryl 👋 I am Nicôla and am living on the South east coast of the UK. I only found your videos in the last few months and just wanted to let you know I find your work fascinating and love the way you clearly explain your inspiration for the various pieces and sharing your knowledge on ‘how to’ abstract successfully using value, marks etc. Starting out as a self-taught artist can be really overwhelming when you see so many other artists and for me the best way forward is to cherrypick the artists I really admire and trust the process they share and the tools and paints they use, then add my own vavavoom. @@CherylWilsonArt Snap! I am half English, half Irish. I think it’s the Irish that is my feisty, enquiring nature and the English keeps me in check and grounded. It is a beautiful part of the world but still quite glum and chilly here. I had hip surgery in January, so learning to paint and express myself through this medium has been a lifesaver. How amazing that we can share our love of creating with so many people from all over the planet 🙏🏼

I am told the same!!! We have days of about 50ish here, but this weekend I think it will be in the 80's. Hip surgery is rough!!! I also agree that sharing our love of art brings up together .... in a wonderful way
