I've just begun Jonathan Meiburg's "A Most Remarkable Creature. The Hidden Life and Epic Journey of the World's Smartest Birds of Prey." Raptors have always fascinated me but these seem to be in a class all their own--a fearless curiosity coupled with an analytical mindset...given a few millennia they just might be the world's first feathered scientists!
