Going back to the Glenn part, I have a theory that Rufas also has Jenova cells inside of him as well because he saw that Sephiroth started a war between shinra and Wutai, plus Rufas got geostigma in advent children.

Great video! My best guess is that Refu will get injured while protecting either Glenn or Rufus at some point, and while on the verge of death, Hojo will say he can save him (while smiling his evil little smile) ~ and then of course Hojo will do what Hojo does, which is how we'll end up with Darkstar. Side note: The masamume seems to be functioning pretty similarly to how the summons do. I wonder if there is a connection?

In Ehrgeiz, Sephiroth has his sword on his hip. Sometimes I also think that he might have Masamune on his back anyway, but it's completely covered up by his hair, lol. Whatever the case, I'm interested to see how the Masamune's real-world folklore will be integrated into the game.

Hello again! Even if I still don't know what to make of the fact that FF VII continues to be ‘milked’ with Ever Crisis, I really like every single storypiece and I love it that there are so many costumes! As a longstandig cosplayer I always craved for that, to express my love for the characters and the game with own made cosplay. So I like that very much! Glenn is furthermore a little mystery to me. I think Jenova / Sephiroth just uses his appearance to start the war in Rebirth and to confuse and manipulate Rufus. I going with the theory in the comments below, that Rufus somehow got contact with Jenovacells or at least Mako. I also imagined that myself to because of the already said fact that Rufus even got geostigma. (Sure it could be because of his near death-experience.) But I'm also curious for the backstory of the Masamune. It was an outstanding weapon in each Final Fantasy and it consumes whispers and in Rebirth you can fight it directly. It can be that it is an ancient artefact from the Gi or even the Cetras. But eventually it is already well known and I just have to progress with your videos xD Thank you again for your great summary and work! At least I want to watch most of your overall videos to dig deeper in FF VII Lore. Have a nice day!

I'm very excited about getting a young Angeal to play as, and I'm almost even more excited about Genesis. I'm very excited about Young Angeal, this is what many are very excited to see. Young Genesis of course will be coming and I like the fact they are going to dig deeper into both of Sephiroth's best friends as they are very important in the series when it pertains to Sephiroth and Zack but more Sephiroth. Crisis Core had a huge chunk of the game cut due to the price of UMDs and thus almost 50% of the story content was cut from the game. I believe those lost episodes will be finding their way into this next Episode of First Soldier.

At this point I am convinced that Part 3 is going to be called Final Fantasy VII: Rhapsody. They have been keeping Genesis's appearance a HUGE secret, always saying nothing beyond "We can't talk about that" or "it's a secret." They obviously have something big planned for him in the main plot, and this is why Rhapsody would make sense, because Genesis' last name is "Rhapsodos", he is a huge scholar and fanatic of the epic poem Loveless, and Loveless is also being hinted as having major significance in the Remake Project----and a "rhapsody" is classically defined as "a highly emotional, epic poem". Moreover, Nomura and the leads have remarked that they would likely follow the pattern of titling the third game with an "R" at the beginning, but they didn't say they would need it to start with "Re". they are focusing only on the first letter being "R". I played a lot at launch, but got tired of the amount of grind necessary just to experience the story; sometimes the Power Level required from one Chapter to the next is a bit extreme. The gacha aspect of the game is a turn-off, but damn the gameplay was fun, the music is exquisite, the art direction is phenomenal, and the mechanics were simple. I tried to return a few weeks ago, but there are so many new mechanics, it is overwhelming. My favorite part of Ever Crisis is definitely the story of The First Soldier, I love learning about Sephiroth during his youth, and Glenn is an amazing character! I really hope that at some point, they'll do a full-fledge AAA game on console with the REMAKE project assets so that more people can experience The First Soldier in all its glory and not like the Battle Royale shooter they did previously.

Please Nomura get firm and get Genesis into Remake part 3. I don't care what you have to do. Flip tables at the meetings if need be to get the green light and then pay Gackt his money. Genesis and Zack should headline part 3 and get Minerva/the planet involved. We need to see what the planet actually thinks of the endless Sephiroth vs Aerith chess game. Genesis and Minerva can put both Aerith and Sephiroth in their places. Running rampant in the lifestream hopping worlds, seizing control of Whispers and Weapons, stealing materia from other worlds--all this crazy stuff. Genesis is the one I trust at this point to do what's best for the planet and he can team up with Zack to clean up the mess from the first 2 parts of the series and get the planet back on track.

Advent Children is the Chrono Cross of the ff7 universe. That is to say it's bad and it terrible things to the characters and needs to be retconned or at least rewritten.

I’m fine if nothing other than Zack is canonized from Crisis Core…. I hated Angeal and Genesis, the story is convoluted and a giant retcon, and I hate the origin of the Buster Sword. The origin of the Buster Sword should’ve been a lost weapon of one of the Knights of the Round. Or a weapon forged in a ‘off the books’ sector of Shinra. Made by Hojo or something like that. The actual origin is uneventful, forced, and boring.

I don’t disagree about the Buster Sword origin but it doesn’t always have to be something grand. But I do think that Cloud as the “Bladesman of Legend” creates the more apropos origin for the sword. Zack passing it along to Cloud adds to it but Cloud makes it iconic. We do have to consider that Cloud does retire the weapon in Advent Children for something maybe more his own style. The Fusion Blade is the sword I want an origin story for. I hope it’s touched on in part 3. I have a theory that it’ll tie into Cloud being the “Bladesman of Legend” but Cloud doesn’t have a bunch of arms…
