FF7 Rebirth News Blowout: Minigame Changes for Remake Part 3, Tifa's Slap Fight & More

I can already tell that this is going to be the most LONGEST, most EPIC final game in the ENTIRE trilogy and I can NOT wait to see how the game wraps up everything. Even if I'm going to be crying buckets of tears once FFVII ends, I'll never forget the life lessons of what this gorgeous game has taught me, especially about the biggest one of all: DEATH and losing someone you love. But I can't wait to see when Vincent and Sephiroth meet, especially when Sephiroth FINALLY meets his REAL mother! I'm SOOOOOOO ready for that, because I know tears are going to be falling from my eyes like a waterfall. Tyler and Matthew are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO going to steal the ENTIRE SHOW with their last performance once their characters meet and I can't WAIT to see what dialogue they're going to give Tyler Hoechlin for his FINAL performance as my favorite antagonist! Packets and boxes of Kleenex tissues, my favorite tubs of ice cream, robe and Sephiroth pillow will 100% be with me once the finale hits!

In the original game Vincent, if in your party, did cross paths with Sephiroth at the ancient temple (even if there was no dialogue).

The full trilogy is gonna be goated. Also if the slap fight isn't changed to yuffie and scarlet, personally I'll be disappointed since they have a stronger connection in the remake trilogy.

Yuffie has been absolutely fiending to knock the fuck outta scarlet for 2 games now Tifa has no business being in a slap fight with her

That wouldn’t make sense considering it’s tifa that is there to escape and it makes more sense for her from the OG. That’s a classic scene that does not need to be changed.

They won’t change the slap fight with Tifa (and they shouldn’t), but they could make a yuffie vs scarlet fight in the raid on midgar. I believe they are going to split the party to 3 different groups in midgar, so the party with yuffie could just fight scarlet and close that arc.

Best of both worlds. Yuffie and Tifa slapping the shit out of Scarlet. Could make sense because Yuffie is in Junon in the og during Tifa's escape, they could just change stuff around.

No more boss gauntlets. Rebirth's final boss was a neverending *slog.* Form after form after form after form. And the challenges were even worse considering it required spamming brumal form. I found most of the mini-games quite fun. Only a few I would chuck, such as Fort Condor and the box-throwing with Cait Sith. But the boss gauntlets need to die. My opinion of Rebirth went from a 9/10 to a 6/10 because of them.

Im fine with boss gauntlets, but perhaps balancing them with generous checkpoints could help some people.

Different mini games in rebirth? It was the same games in almost every map. THAT got old after getting to the Corel region.

I was thinking about the chocobos in part 3 and I came up with an idea I’m obsessed with now lol. I want to revisit all of the regions we explored in Rebirth aboard the Highwind, obviously piloted by Cid and the Midgar 7th, except now the world is in chaos due to meteor and the war with Wutai. We’ve gotta find and rescue all of the named chocobos we befriended in Rebirth, and store them aboard the Highwind in the chocobo stable bay

If somebody says to you this game is superoptimized, its bullshit, even with a 3080 you have frame drops at 1080p... 😢

I havn’t ran into any problems, even running at max settings. Everyone’s setup is different though, obviously. I work in game design, so my workstation HAS to be able to run things butter smooth, or else it’s useless for development/playtesting. Hopefully they patch it and it will run smoother for you, even with that high-end setup.
