Excellent one! Unintended consequences pretty much are the rule here. In tornado alley in particular, the very processes and geographic features that allow supercell thunderstorms to form are also the reason it's not just another horse-latitude desert. As history has shown, the area is very prone to desertification. The only tornado-free Kansas may be a Kansas that can't grow food.
@jasoncarswell7458
@jasoncarswell7458 4 жыл бұрын
Many people from outside the US (Paul included) also unfortunately seem to think that tornadoes are functionally or primarily limited to Tornado Alley. In actuality Dixie Alley in the Southern states produces just as many tornadoes as the Midwest despite the synoptic weather patterns being entirely different. The topography doesn't allow for nearly as much chasing or line-of-sight science to be conducted so few researchers want to write a bland paper without pretty pictures.

Sounds stupid but it would likely work. Scaled down, explosives are good for putting out large oil field fires as the explosion upsets the local environment making it impossible for fire to burn and the whole thing just dies out instantly. Scaled up, a nuke would likely greatly disrupt one. Not sure about a large hurricanes but certainly smaller cyclones.

Indeed perfect timing! Lol. If an atomic bomb would do anything to a huricane, than it will likely be a certain strengthening of the storm by the addition of EXTRA convective energy caused by the quickly rising hot mushroom cloud. But more importantly, it would be an exellent way to spread the radioactivity around over large parts of the planet, since al the air that rises in a huricane spreads out in all directions above this system in the form of anticyclonic outward spiraling upper level winds.

The idea to bring up cool water from the depth of the oceans to cool the surface would just be another human-made climate-change disaster. Interesting bit of trivia: Bernard Vonnegut is one of the main people who developed cloud seeding via silver iodide in the 1940s. The concept, and bad press associated with early utilization of the process as noted in this video inspired his younger brother, Kurt Vonnegut, in his book, Cat's Cradle, to conjure a fictional substance called Ice-Nine, as a plot device, to disastrous results.

Operation Popeye may also have caused a POW rescue mission in North Viet Nam to fail. American intelligence discovered a POW camp near Son Tay, using the old Buffalo Hunter reconnaissance drones. A rescue force was assembled and trained and during a good weather period it struck. Only to find the camp recently abandoned. Additional drone flights and satellite footage showed the nearby river had overflowed well past it's usual flood stage and was almost to the walls of the camp. The rescue force was never told about Operation Popeye and it possible effects on the area.

I noticed a several degree cooling on a late summers day, just from a passenger aircraft that left one of those long lasting contrails that ended up as a thin layer of high altitude cloud, right in front of the sun. Not to be confused with chemtrails... I put it down to lower altitude flying and more efficient engines, but could be done deliberately if required - maybe the effect could be used for cooling required for hurricane reduction.

1. Cloud seeding is imperfect. You could seed a cloud and then it drops 15 inches of rain 300 miles away. 2. I’m still under the belief that adding any extra energy to a closed system, specifically weather, is never a good idea. 2a. I want to see ways to take energy away, that’s the right way to do weather modifications.

The car pollution seeding clouds is so true. Everyday in the summer after work and school lets out and afternoon traffic is over or just about over. It will rain for a few minutes or sometimes we will get a lightening or thunder storm but no rain for about 15-20 minutes. Then eventually blows over. I noticed this a few years ago just paying attention to the sky at different times every day. After all the traffic was over I would notice these darker plumes of very small and thin clouds start rising higher in sky while the pretty white fluffy original clouds will be much higher in sky as if they are the natural real layer of clouds. Eventually the darker small plumes start joining together until the whole sky and sun is covered and then comes a storm.

And here I am, living in Savannah, with discussions on possible evacuations for the approaching hurricane and this video pops up. And mentions a hurricane hitting my city in the 40's suspected because of a weather control experiment. The picture looked like one from around bay and bull streets. Though, given the coast shape, and our location, you'd think we'd get hit all the time, but there have been only a few direct hits. The storms may line up for one, but almost always veer off north or sound, usually north, as they get close due to some pressure bowl of some sort we sit in.

Excellent video, as a guy that storm chases for funises, I can attest to the fact that getting a mobile microwave unit in place at the right time would be very difficult. Another problem with the mobile microwave units, any tornadoes they want to zap would naturally be near towns and homes and industry, which makes using the microwave idea at all to be problematic. Far easier to mandate building codes that withstand tornadoes than trying to try run around zapping a fast moving and unpredictable target like a supercell thunderstorm. I also noticed you used a slide describing tornadogensies with the RFD model but newer simulation work done on massive super computers is starting to change the established theories of tornadoes on it's head. If you are interested in learning about the hottest in tornado meteorology I highly suggest checking out Dr.Leigh Orfs work on the topic. He has a youtube channel with talks about the simulations they have been doing as well as animations from the simulations; which quite frankly are stunning.

Think these videos take quite a bit of time to research and make so i doubt he can be that responsive to the news. Then again you don't have to wait to long for the US to barf out something retarded (related to climate change). Tho to be fair, China seems to be combating the consequences of pollution with shooting it with more concentrated pollution.

OTEC or ocean thermal energy conversion takes deep cold water and generates electricity from the difference in temperature between it and the warm surface water. This can be used to make ammonia from air and the condensed fresh water condensed as part of the process for export. It also can keep the ocean cooler to fight increase in global temperature.

@Blackjack Videos In 1952, the RAF carried out cloud seeding 'experiments' which killed 35 in the Devon town of Lynmouth. Deadly flood blamed on RAF rainmakers: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1339046/Deadly-flood-blamed-on-RAF-rainmakers.html 'The day they made it rain' - BBC Radio 4 documentary on Weather Modification, broadcast on 30th August 2001. On August 15th 1952, one of the worst flash floods ever to have occurred in Britain swept through the Devon village of Lynmouth. Thirty five people died as a torrent of 90 million tons of water and thousands of tons of rock poured off saturated Exmoor and into the village destroying homes, bridges, shops and hotels. The disaster was officially termed "the hand of God" but new evidence from previously classified government files suggests that a team of international scientists working with the RAF and UK met office had been experimenting in the area with artificial rainmaking between August 4th and August 15th. These experiments are known as Operation Cumulus, or Operation Witchdoctor as known by RAF pilots. Other classified documents on the trials have gone missing, but eye witnesses and people involved have told their story for this BBC Radio Four' Document programme'. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqKoi59_YrWMr80 Imagine what they could do/are doing now....... weathermodificationhistory.com/

@@ac.creations the earth goes through spells, we can either let it do its thing, or do more damage trying to alter it in negligible ways anyways.
