Fascinating Bimble facts here. I had no idea about Lymm expect the said Mr Corbett's place of residence. I grew up watching the legendary Sooty and Sweep.

Really well put together. Lloyd Bridge was known as Dog Bridge because there was a pub next to the canal called the Dog. There was also a Dog Inn at Heatley. The Church Green was once called the Dog and Punchbowl .. so if you went on a Victorian pub crawl, you could have had a three dog night😊 Alan Williams - Lymm Heritage Centre

Great vid... the Water Tower was done up by a guy called Russell Harris who was the presenter of a great travel show years ago called Dice Man.

I've recently discovered your channel and it's absolutely fascinating. So much I didn't know about places I've lived in all my life. Plus as someone else who enjoys making their own music, I really love your songs - they're uplifting, cheerful and catchy. I look forward to hearing more history and music!

Brill video. Brindley Bridge is also known locally as Dog Bridge. Don't ask me why? You mentioned Sooty's Dad. At 11:17, that was his cottage on the right. Pretty sure he's sold it now. You've gained a new subscriber 👍

I went to Lymm Grammar school, me and my mate were from Appleton, we'd spend our 9 pence (old money), in the summer on an ice cream at dinner time. 9 pence was the bus fare home, we walked it, 4 and a half miles, no problem when you're 12.

Many year,s ago waiting for a table in La Boheme, Lymm, the waitress ushered us to our table, I,m sitting you next to Sooty she said? It was Matthew Corbett looking rather pleased, he had sold the right,s to Sooty for a million! Has since sold his house canalside in Lymm.

Hi Kieran, new subscriber here. I think I'm addicted now to your videos and especially your music. Very interesting videos ,love all the local knowledge, being a local lad myself. I find you very funny aswell with your little quips and one liners. Glad I found your channel, may I just ask though as someone who is struggling to start filming projects, what editing software you use please? Many thanks and keep up the excellent work😊

@@leemcwhan8287 I'm using Premiere Pro. It's quite an old version, CS6. It can be a bit expensive. However don't get hung up on the software. You can download Blackmagic for free which is industry standard for colour grading. The software doesn't add anything it's just process. Any software you just have to learn how it works. Good content is most important. Good audio makes the most difference. :)

@@BimblismUK thanks for the reply Kieran. Love your music, you're very talented, great voice, and catchy tunes, very Chris Martin-esque I would say 🙂
